Hey peeps!

Short message:

Thank you all for being patient this month! Jaw surgery + Christmas + wedding has definitely eaten into my writing/editing time, but now I'm back home and super excited.

I hope you're all prepared!

Longer message:

John and I met 17 years ago at a Blockbuster. He was the manager, and he interviewed me for an entry level position. I entered the Blockbuster in oversized clothes (I playfully say I was "cosplaying a pile of laundry") but in reality, I was just poor, and I didn't have clothes that fit right (nor did I have clothes for interviews).

John gave me the standard questions, but the last one was math-based. He said, "The registers are down, so you have to do all the transactions by hand. A movie rental is 4.08 after tax, and someone gives you a 20. What's the change you give them?"

He then slid over a pen and piece of paper.

According to John, I gave him the "wtf is this?" look, and then slid the paper and pen back to him and then correctly answered the question.

He said it was that moment that he thought to himself, "This is the girl for me."

Some of you may recognize the story, because I technically put it in the Frith Chronicles (Zelfree's memory of joining the Frith Guild). A lot of my life is actually in the books, though very few people would know. It was my way of honoring my meeting with John.

Now we're officially married, and it feels like such a blessing.

Thank you all for supporting me through my author-ing career. It means the world. I don't want to let John down, and I don't want to let any of my fans down, either, lol
