Hey peeps! Good news: I’m in Japan! Better news: you peeps will keep getting updates while I’m away, haha🎊🇯🇵

I’m only visiting for 5 days, so it’s a super short trip.

Let me explain how it happened!!

So, John has always been a romantic. A few years ago, for his birthday, we had plans to meet friends at a restaurant to celebrate. Unbeknownst to me, John had contacted all our friends ahead of time for a surprise.

Once we got to the restaurant, everyone passed over gifts—not to John, but to me. He wanted to surprise me. On his birthday, he asked all our friends to give me Pokémon plushies instead of gifts for himself. It was truly touching. I remember it to this day, I was so surprised. (I’M NOT CRYING, YOU’RE CRYING)

Anyway, this year, for John’s birthday, we were supposed to take a trip. Instead, John canceled that and sent me to Japan for a week.

I’ve been to Japan before, but that was nearly 20 years ago now >.> (jeez, time flies) and I studied Japanese for some time, so I was looking forward to returning, but I didn’t think I would be able for a while.

But John loves his romantic surprises! 💕🎉🥹

I get back FRIDAY! Just in time for Super Mario RPG, and to finalize the Bestiary for printing!!
