I had a few issues with the Dark Lord, with the left arm failing to print first time round. I upgraded the supports on the shoulder joint, elbow and hand in Lychee (as well as the feet/cloak), then saved out as an STL and following Andrew's advice upthread I scaled up to 114% in Chitubox. Perfect print, and looks just right when stood next to the Imperial Swords/Crossbows.

I think I got him now. Beefed up some of the supports did the trick. I’ll know for sure when I take him out of the sonic cleaner.

114% did the trick. I mean he’s got to be a bit more imposing than an imperial troop…He’s the Dark Lord.

Smaller scale (regular 32mm) than the original imperial crossbow man released. Should be matched with the later crossbow and sword/shield imperial releases. Though I think the dark lord could also use a bump up to 110% or so. Just depends a bit on what you want.

Thanks. But not what I was asking. And scales are usually consistent across a manufacturers line.

Scale can always be adjusted in either Lychee or Chitubox. Sometimes you need to do a little extra tweaking to get the results you personally expect. It is part and parcel for 3D art.

Also. Is it just me or is he a slightly smaller scale than the Imperial Crossbowman?

I think it’s the really small supports. I’ll clean and cure it to take a better look. It’s the first time I’ve had issues with your stuff. And I had another model on the plate that printed super crisp. So I’m not sure that it’s my print settings. But I’ll play around.

Failing how? He does use quite a lot of small supports, so printing settings really need to be dialed in. Might need to bump exposure a bit, or lower lift speed possibly. Alternatively perhaps bump the size of the supports in the lychee file a bit. Hard to say, lots of variables between printers, resins, and environment, but I can say he was test printed multiple times without fail.
