What is a sandbox?
Added 2025-01-30 03:02:09 +0000 UTCI was wondering as I've seen some games tagged as Sandbox... what is sandbox? I just wanted to understand when does a game become it or even a life simulator or dating game?

imo sandbox is simply something that breaks immersion. It means if you for example go Route A, you can simultaneously go Route B. despite they being contradictory to each other. For example, you can be a sub sissy to your wife, but at the same time, be a dom alpha to someone else. "sandbox" as in every route is taken as it's own seperate thing even if it clashes or contradicts another route.
