I feel like if she actually took the time to flesh out the production; to concentrate her attention more patiently; to give herself the time to revisit her work and evaluate it, then it could’ve been something with potential. I saw this in “Mans Best Friend” by Sabrina Carpenter; another album that was generally “okay”, but could’ve been SO much better if it wasn’t developed in only a year. I’d rather have an artist take several month to year hiatuses to pursue their work, and have it pay off than to get more music sooner, but have it be mediocre
