Major Announcement: #10 Updates every day for the next ten days

First off, the next ten days will be a continuous stream of posts, essentially uploading a new Demo or Update every single day, and possible multiple if chance permit. This should help get us caught up quite abit. That's at minimum one update a day, for ten days! A countdown basically. So look forward to that.

Now I'd, like to talk about the main attraction here.

I've been catching up on my roadmap for "The Hero We Need"'s progress, along with some of my other game projects. Some of you may have noticed I'm a bit more frantic to finish than usual, and its not for lack of passion! THwN began in 2016 about 5 years ago, so I'm swiftly going to work this year towards bringing it to its conclusion. In terms of update progress, I'm currently at ~70% completed, and that's before starting the reboot.

The end is in sight, as in within months of concluding, and I'm in a very good mood about it! With that out of the way, lets talk about "The Hero We Need". I have finished over 152 Bad Endings, 42 Purity Endings, and 22 bonus Omake Episodes discussing the game's lore. The game extends about 900 maps at the moment, which span 20 major areas and their questlines. It's been a busy few months. Between working on October 8 and some personal writing, which I have in addition to THwN and my game projects, I can't possibly show all the work I've been doing. These past five years this has been an incredibly heft undertaking of which I'm proud I stuck with and am still developing for all my fans to this day.

One major piece of lore I've been working on since early on in the project was the backstory of the titular "hero" who is the protagonist of THwN. The protagonist of an RPG is the main point of focus. Some RPG protagonists do not choose their class, others do not choose a job, and then you have a character who's actions can't be predicted for the most part. In THwN's case, the protagonist is a male-turned-female and she is a warrior type and is fighting on a different type of land with a different culture and a different people. She has never fought an enemy in a battle before, but must do so when she travels with her new maid companion and sent on this journey. Why was she chosen for this journey exactly? What are the implications of the fact she was "Selected" as this world's prophesied heroine and practically turned into its player-character of sorts from the perspective of those who'd have her meet her demise over and over? This will become important as we go on and reach the end, the details surrounding Bernida's origins and eventual fate as far as her quest has taken her.

That brings us to my next point... Bernida is just a name. In fact, she is a name that is derived from the word "Bertha" which is Germanic for "Bright maiden". Bernida is meant to be a pun on both that word and Bermuda, as in the Bermuda Triangle where people go missing.

The remaining areas of the game include:

The Spa Resort, the rest of the Halloween Town, Elven Palace, The User Temple, Sunny Folktown, Anthrubaysia, The Tower of Heroes, the Grimwood Forest, the Haunted Asylum, and finally the Final Dungeon

The Spa Resort is a secluded mountain spa resort that the Users of the town of Egrisway are trying to destroy. There are also monsters and demons that would try to destroy the resort too. The players' quest is to help the villagers protect their village and their homes, while exploring the Spa inbetween "Raid and Relaxation" Phrases. I shelved it for a long time because it didn't seem to fit well with the game's storyline, but even as a huge side quest I thought it had a lot of potential to revisit someday. I'd like to tackle finishing that up.

My plan was to do all the areas "before" the last dungeon and mission, then switch to the reboot before completing it. This may sound counter intuitive but it was more or less to leave the game on kind of a cliffhanger and eventually bridge the game's diverging storylines towards a singular conclusion with both the Reboot and the current version colliding. This would, of course, give me the option of making sure both versions end with the same resolution and result. You'll likely get the near-endings of the current game first, then the reboot, and afterwards we'll come back to the original to tie things up with a coup de grace.

With the reboot, I'm planning on making sure all the endings of the areas currently sealed off in the game (Including the Bee Dungeon, Cleaflow, Coastal Resort and Undersea ship, and some others) are transferred into the new game.

Thank you for your patience and continued support!

I hope you'll continue to follow me all the way to the finish and even after as we look towards the future and see what's in store.
