In Morning
Added 2023-02-02 16:46:25 +0000 UTCI just wanted to post something here, to let you know I'm a bit distant at the moment.
After a terrifying weekend with my cat Minnie, where we could not get her to eat and she was struggling to breathe, we rushed her to the emergency vet and she worsened quickly. After agonizing over it in the course of 3 days and trying so hard to keep her stable she took a bad turn and we had to make the terrible choice to let her go peacefully and not suffer through it anymore.
This is so hard as anyone who's lost someone they love knows. We had Minnie from almost as a kitten. She was a great cat and we gave her all the love and the best care we could give her while we had the pleasure of being her guardians. She ruled the house, had her own outdoor cattio to watch the wildlife around and she was an absolute sweetheart. We feel her loss in every aspect of our lives and it's difficult to look everywhere in this house and see her absence.
I am not okay, it's going to be some time before I am okay and while I can't just stop working, I am taking my time to grieve and self care. This means it may take me longer to reply to any messages. Right now work is keeping me stable as well and the art packs should be going out on the 5th as usual this month. I'm in the process of working on the Patreon Voted wallpaper. It is taking me longer than usual to do so.
Thank you for your patience and for supporting me and my art. It really does mean the world to us. I truly couldn't be doing this without you.

That's awful. Remember that the happiness Minnie shared throughout her lifetime far outweighs the suffering she experienced at the end.
