Lost my Grandmother
Added 2023-02-14 16:37:49 +0000 UTCAfter 2 years of suffering and being bedridden, I got the call to come and say goodbye to my grandmother. I went and joined my family around her bed, she was unconscious and relaxed. No pain and no more suffering as she was slipping away. We each kissed her and told her we loved her and thanked her for all she did for us. We shared stories and comfort for several hours until she took her last breath. I'm glad she is at peace now, though she leaves a hole in all of us that she touched in her life.
Frankly this has been a really rough time. Loosing my cat unexpectedly 2 weeks ago, and then my grandmother, not entirely unexpected, has left me feeling empty and ragged. I am doing my best to get through and I really appreciate your patience with me right now.
Here's hoping that all the sadness leads to a brighter year ahead.
