It’s the moment you’ve all been waiting for: UNTHEMED submissions for FIYAH LITERARY MAGAZINE! If you’ve been sitting on a story or poem that doesn’t fit our themed issues, please share your work with us. We’ve published work from first-time and veteran writers from all walks of the diaspora. You can be the next to join our amazing alumni!
FIYAH is a quarterly speculative fiction magazine that features stories by and about Black people of the African Diaspora. This definition is globally inclusive (Black anywhere in the world) and also applies to mixed/biracial and Afro-appended people regardless of gender identity or orientation.
We accept submissions of short fiction 2,000 – 7,000 words, novelettes up to 15,000 words, and poetry with speculative elements.
Please read this page for submission guidelines; work that doesn’t meet the minimum requirements or match FIYAH’s mission cannot be accepted.
