I voted for Plague Marines to align with what hobbyists are probably gonna want to paint, and also... a big complaint with modern Death Guard kits I've heard from army painters is that they are so over-detailed. I think your mixed media process can make the faction a little more approachable!

I don't recall seeing anything going back to when I first started watching - which was all the way back to the early Blanchitsu/GrimDark Mechanicus etc... Should the channel be called "anything but mecha"? :p
