Theo, Andrew, and Ben bring you: Two celebrity visits by one celebrity, and the stark difference in the naming habits of the experts and the public at large.

Outro: Curl of the Burl - Mastodon
Other people took care of the duck duck gray duck and Prince things, but I feel obligated as a Minnesotan to point out that F. Scott Fitzgerald is also from here! The name is of course still stupid, and you have correctly determined that every year we vote for like three good names and dozens of unbelievably lame ones. (I am still sad that extremely popular 2021 nominee "Abolish Ice" was never ever going to be chosen.)

I watched National Lampoons Vacation when I was far too young (6, I think?) so it had a drastically outsized influence on my life.

I think Chuck Palahniuk is the current avatar of the Hemingway-Mailer-McCarthy thread of toxic masculinity in American literature. Sorry

Hey guys, I work for that state of Minnesota, only a couple notes overall:
1. Our DOT is called "MnDOT" (pronounced minndot) to differentiate from Michigan
2. Our fiscal year in state government is July 1-June 30
3. Minnesotans are simply Not Funny
Let me know if you have more questions on this very important and local topic

"A Cool URL To A Nice Porno" very much sounds like an entry level Duolingo Japanese exercise

Duck duck orange truck is a a reference to an insane Minnesota thing - the game you and I know as “duck duck goose” is called “duck duck grey duck” in Minnesota

In defense of the Prince name for a snowplough, he is from Minnesota so it is culturally relevant to them (I mean, it's Minnesota, who else do they even have)

I listened to the previous episode while on a long Family Christmas drive last week and a car in front of me on the motorway started emitting pale blue smoke and then their front driver's side tyre burst with a loud bang, is this "As Designed" or do I need to log a bug against the podcast

i love it when you guys stumble into topics with a clear yet curious mind
honor murders are legal from the balkans to the middle east if you heard someone say that kebab comes from a country next door.
visit any comment section where kebab is mentioned, you will learn more ways to call someones mother a dog than there are types of kebab
