I'm a big ol empiricist objectively (you ask me what is objectively real, I'll lean on our scientific understanding). But if you ask me what feels real as a weird little human freak wandering around the world, I will say it feels like everything is alive. I like the idea that life is how the universe comes to know itself. Being some part of the universe is very comforting I think. I like the idea that one day I'll be grass and sky. Maybe all the words I ever said will be forgotten, but I'll be in the sea. If I'm lucky maybe atoms will be blown out of our solar system, near the speed of light, and maybe they'll end up in another star system and be a totally different weird little guy. I like thinking about it like that. Like, it's always ending, but we're also always everything. But mostly I just like to go find tiny plants and fungus in the forest and stare at them, because they're nice.
