This is a super-fast lick that is going to boost your alternate picking speed. John Petrucci is playing this crazy lick so fast that makes me prepare my lesson tabs with %25 speed (usually I share with half speed). So this lick will help you to improve your picking speed and alternate picking technique. For me, the Liquid Tension Experiment era is John Petrucci's prime and you can see easily he is one of the best guitar players in the world. This lesson is the intro part of the Paradigm Shift and I believe it is the most complete song for the band (Liquid Tension Experiment) Don't forget to start slow and increase your speed gradually with the accents.
