this one nearly broke my brain.
this minimal rope absolutely does not represent the backflips my mind was doing to make this happen. will and i both agreed this was equally challenging for their body as it was for my brain. oddly enough--they said the most challenging part was the rope around their ribs.
this is a variation of a shape i learned during the "without the gote" workshop with fede and marta during my last milan trip. fede calls this "the porn one" (hehe). the key is a pulley system! so we're lifting up the whole body at once, and absolutely not staying up very long. i will say that this style of "photoshoot rope" doesn't usually particularly appeal to me, but this was a blast. i'm wondering 1) how to tie a similar shape in a way that feels like a more sustainable and playful scene and 2) what other shapes i can use the pulley for...
question: does a "proper" daruma need to have the feet closer together? for some reason i picture a daruma as a circular shape with the feet touching or almost touching, but i'm not sure if this is correct, and i can't find any resources on the subject. if you know, please share!
