I loved the majority of the content here, and was wildly disappointed in the uncritical use of Tim Bucher and his work. I think it's unreasonable to expect everyone to be educated about every discipline. However, I do think it's fair to expect consultants to be vetted prior to inclusion in the final piece. The use of Tim's claims about his work being stolen (when due to the nature of generative models means that, in fact, Tim's pieces are stolen), the plug for Tim's books (filled with pieces slapped together from stolen artwork), and the incoming longer interview that "talks about how artists can use generative art" suggests a lack of vetting and research into the expert consulted, which risks undermining the validity of an otherwise fantastic takedown. I love googledybunking, and I don't want to share that space with AI-using grifters masquerading as victims when they have personally stolen credit from artists alive and dead.
