I’m ready for The Glory reactions 😭

The Glory is the next K-Drama

Does anyone know what K-Drama is next? I’m hoping for Bloodhounds or Uncanny Counter

1000% agree with this. It’s easy for people to view suicide as selfish, which fuels the stigma around it. Which is also why we’ve changed the language around it to “die BY suicide” instead of “COMMITTING suicide”-it equates suicide to being a crime (which it was in many countries). It can now be viewed as just dying from the disease of depression, just like people die from heart attacks and cancer, etc.

You'll see it on our Shopify site very soon🤙

All I want to know is where did Diamond Dave get that hoodie? Because I want it. 👌

Great episode, great reaction. Wholeheartedly agree with all that was said by the guys. But to the point made by Mason there about the general's final decision: we as viewers know everything, but people who had all relatives and friends in this region where military bombed target places will never know if killed people were zombies or if they weren't bitten yet and tried to save themselves. And I think that living with not knowing the truth about it is even more cruel and hard than finding out that your husband and father commited suicide which clearly based on the guilt (they will see the video general made), so at least they will know the reasons of general's decision, while people who lost their loved ones in the bombings will forever be haunted by the thought that these murdered people could have been saved. Dave nailed it: this hits differently for casuals and military guys because military is suppose to defend its own citizens and not kill them, that's why general after this inevitable decision would always struggle with the feeling like he betrayed not only his own principles, but the whole institution he was the representation of. They kinda forshadow that outcome with him in earlier episode making officer to get parents' permition for the army to convey experiments on their dead son's body. It showed what kind of a man he was from morale standpoint. Plus I think it's a moot point to judge someone's suicide. We simply don't know what's going on in the mind of such person, how much they mentally or physically suffered before that decision. I always thought that thinking about the suicide as a selfish thing was wrongly sustained in many cultures and nations throughout the history of humanity, and it's done more harm to the future generations. That's why people who are on the verge of making the decision about it often don't talk about it with someone because there's a huge stigma about that and shaming ("Oh, he/she/they done it because they were weak/dumb/young/whatever else" negative things people would say - look at social media, for example, there's so little empathy for people who suffered mentally/physically). Communication is a key. Don't afraid to talk about things because the real fear lingers in the silence and the feeling of being alone with your own problems. Anyway, I went for too long here... sorry about that. I think that many issues in All of Us Are Dead are depicted with precise truth to it. It's a fascinating series which deserves more recognition than lame conclusion "it's just another zombies story". No, the virus is only catalist of the plot moving forward, human relationship and how people deal with these issues are the main focus, and the writing is so on point.

I thought it was very poignant that the General pointed out that he understood the dr couldn't bring himself to kill [his family], but that the the General is a soldier so he can kill--but that doesn't mean it wouldn't weigh on him. Hence, his choice at the end. Because he was a father, too.

To briefly answer MQ’s question about what she meant “try being a senior”: Korea has one of the world’s highest education standards and consequently has one of the world’s highest rate of self-ending students bc of extreme pressures and stress. It’s the most brutal time for seniors who’s goals are to get into a school in Seoul (and ultimately a corporate job) but bc the standards are so high there’s so much pressure to try to get into a school in Seoul that corporations will even consider their resumes for a job. That being said, getting a corporate job is like finding a needle in a haystack since there’s so much competition in a tiny country. Just pure luck on top of a strong resume.

i literally bawled my eyes out the entire time. i thought it wouldn’t hit this hard since i had already watched it before but man this episode was so heartbreaking. if ur curious, seniors have a hard time cause they are dealing with college entrance exams. it’s so intense and competitive that students end their lives over the pressure of having to get into a good school. that’s why that girl (sorry blanking on ther name) was saying that dealing with zombies is easier than being a senior lol

DD has the right response. It was the exact thing i was going to comment on this before he said it himself: "What a fucking episode" Since the start of these reactions I've been dreading this episode, just constant heartbreak throughout. I've watched this show a few times over and absolutely sobbed each and every time this episode has came around. And the soldier at the end of the episode was facing very natural things regarding taking lives; and then to be called a murderer etc was probably a full breaking point to him. Glad you guys liked the show though (ofc 1 episode left after this one). Reactions have been fantastic as always and can't wait for the Season 2 reactions whenever they decide to finally release it.

I think this is the best episode of the season. Also, it may not make a difference to some that don’t know the language, but please turn off the Eng CC for k-dramas on Netflix. Netflix’s Eng CC is the English dub captions and the translations are sometimes way off from the original dialogue. The original English subtitles are more accurate. Sometimes the Eng CC are so off that it’s almost disrespectful to the original dialogue 😭

On Mason Quinn’s thoughts on what the general did: it’s very rational to think that he shouldn’t have done it because he had a family, but when you’re in that headspace and in that much pain, it’s very hard to think clearly. And sometimes, even if you know that, the pain is just overwhelming. 😢
