Rebecca’s character is not being wasted. She’s able to do her job while also trying to be happy. You spent the entire season 1 hating her anyway Mason Quinn so I don’t know why you’re talking like you’re this huge fan 😂 people can be multifaceted. She’s a boss who’s dealing with a possibility of something good after being in a terrible marriage to an awful man

I disagree.

I couldn't agree more. It's like teachers and nannies being expected to care about their students, that's bs. They need to do their job and do t well, caring isn't required for that to happen.

Lindinha

It would be nice of Ted to tell Nate he did a great job but he's not a 5 year old, he shouldn't need an attaboy for literally just doing his job.

I wonder if Ted ever told Nate good job for the match and saving him while he was having a panic attack…cause Nate came up huge. Also has Nate and Ted talked 1 on 1 yet in 8 episodes?

If you notice, when Coach beard "disappears" after giving Nate his speech, Nate looks UP. As if Beard is hiding on the ceiling. I see Ted's criticism of therapists a lot, that they don't "really" care and are only pretending to care because they're getting paid. Leaving aside the fact that people can care even when they're getting (Like Ted and coaching, as they pointed out), even if that was 100% true...how is that a bad thing? A doctor treating your broken leg also doesn't "really" care about you, they're only fixing your leg because they're paid to do so. A mechanic doesn't "really" care about your car. But you still let them do their job because THEY STILL DO THE JOB. Provided they can give the proper insight and advice and treatment, what does it matter if they're only doing it because they're getting paid to do it? They're still getting the job done.

I completely agree that Sam and Rebecca’s relationship doesn’t jive. Not only the age difference, but the power dynamics of her being his boss makes it an ethical dilemma. They’re great separately, but would never work out as a couple.

I agree with you. I've lost count of how many times I've watched this show (with or without reactors, lol), and I think my first time watch was the only time I wasn't frustrated by Keeley in this episode. The more I sat with it, the more it just felt unfair/one-sided. Roy was clearly blind-sided and hurt, so I don't think there's any room for assuming maybe she said something off-screen and he didn't listen. I think at most we can say she dropped some hints--but the blow up at him seems unwarranted for someone not picking up on hints. My personal experience may be coloring this as well--most of the men I know couldn't catch a hint with radar and bloodhound--so it seems stupid/naive to expect that to be effective communication. I know some people struggle to set boundaries and communicate, so this is growth in a sense for Keeley, but it does seem like Roy was the bigger person for not wanting/needing an apology for how she treated him here.

3rd one is Inferno. Recommended all 3 a couple of days ago on the website. 🫡😁

I think I'm the very rare person who does not appreciate Keeley and feels horrible for Roy in this episode. Don't get me wrong. I LOVE Keeley/Roy. I appreciate how relatable they can be. But a lot of people discuss what is and isn't healthy in relationships or that Keeley just needed space... but in my perspective, Roy wasn't doing anything wrong. Not that Keeley didn't need space or space couldn't be healthier or anything. But where did Keeley ever ASK for more space? Where did she request a boundary? Because we've seen from minute one that Roy respects any boundaries she sets. He listens. So when people talk about him as needing to give her space.. I just feel bad for the guy. People can't give what they aren't asked for - and not everybody can read people's body language. I mean, his Playlist is "sorry for not understanding Keeley" Playlist. It's not that Roy can't or won't give her what she wants, it's that she didn't give him an opportunity. She went to every single other person except him - she didn't even shut it down around Jaimie - instead of asking/discussing what she needed with him. Rebecca is absolutely right. She shouldn't be auditioning her complaints. And when she finally does explain - it's explosively - angrily - immaturely. And instead of ever apologizing to Roy for exploding at him, she gets snippy that he doesn't want to talk the next day, and then just... gets a bubble bath and an apology?? It just always bothered me. I'm not trying to criticize reactors, especially not you guys, for the way the situation is taken. I love hearing people's takes. I'm just saying I personally am like... "how is it okay to treat him that way!?" She just... gets what she wants, and Roy's feelings get brushed aside. Maybe I just am frustrated because I've always had to be the one to apologize - had to be the one to brush aside my own hurt and the mistakes others make, and find the wrongs I did, without the same courtesy done by those I apologize to. And I guess, lastly, yes. In most relationships space is very healthy. But not every relationship NEEDS it. Some relationships genuinely revolve around each other. And while that can be codependent... it isn't *always*. So anyways, that's my take 🤣🤣 but I am very much loving this series. I love the different takes and perspective and excitement. This show is very very powerful and it's so fun to see you all react.

After hearing Answer say he's never seen The DaVinci Code I really hope it gets a reaction one day. Such a great film. I haven't seen the other movies though Angels and Demons and the 3rd movie (can't remember the name of it). Anyways, loved this episode, slowly pulling back the layers of Ted. I've already finished this season so I won't spoil anything but yeah this was such a great episode, no surprise there.

Their videos on Ted Lasso is the only reason I'm watching along! I normally just watch the movies with Badd Medicine but because of Cinema Therapy, I knew this series would be one I'd enjoy(and I am enjoying it immensely)

Natacha P

There's a channel called Cinema Therapy (you guys might have seen them, they're a big channel) that did a couple videos on Ted Lasso, and in one of them they talked about the scene between Ted and Sharon where he's going in on her about charging for a full hour when the session is 50 minutes. The therapist on that channel said that therapists do that for very good reasons, including, first and foremost, being able to schedule in bathroom breaks, but also because they deal with some heavy, heavy shit in sessions, and it takes a toll on them, as well, so they need a moment to recover (and often finish their notes). Really interesting stuff. I would highly recommend checking out their videos, just in general.

Your Ted Lasso reactions brought me here. And I'm just in time to watch the newest ones. Awesome. Thanks guys :)
