I know people mention the Behind The Scenes they made and posted on YouTube which is very good for getting insight on how they managed the One Shots. If you're interested, the director and the Director of Photography talked about how they managed the audio too on the podcast "The Rest is Entertainment."

You know it’s good when DD gives out a 5

I think what is not talked about enough during these discussions is how influential your community is outside of home. You know the phrase, it takes a village. No matter how strict you are with their online content their curiosity will find outside sources. There's unrestricted tablets, computers, phones accessible outside of home. Most teenagers, out of embarrassment, will go to their friends before their parents, to discuss these sensitive topics, and will most likely create a pact mentality as Jaime had with his friends. Not to mention how smart this generation is at bypassing online restrictions when it comes to parents. Hell, you have adults grooming children in online chat gaming communities without anyone batting an eye. I grew up with 5 brothers, and trust me that most got their first info/experiences about sex around their close friends, who my parents knew as the most innocents kids. So for me, more importantly is being aware as a parent of these obstacles and having these important, and sometimes uncomfortable, discussions with your teens about these dangers. Teach them about how to treat girls/women at a young age, about mob mentality, about online misinformation, about the serious consequences to their actions, etc. Is monitoring what they see online important? Absolutely! But molding their minds to protect themselves online and out is way more important in my opinion.

If you guys have not already seen it, reacting to the 12mins The Making Of Adolescence: The One-Shot Explained | Netflix from channel Still Watching Netflix would be great!

Libarax

Really happy you guys managed to react to this series. It was shot, written, and acted out so well. Superhero/Horror/animated movies get far more attention than .. whatever genre you'd call this. So it's always a nice surprise when a big reaction channel check it out.

No, see, this is one of the many problems the show is addressing - that men (and boys) are allowed to resort to violence if the other person "deserved" it. Nobody deserves to be physically attacked, ever. This concept is so pervasive and so damaging to both men and women. If a man can't control his anger when a teenager is being obnoxious, that's the man's problem, not the teenager's. And the answers I know people will have to this -- but the boy vandalized his van, and he'll never be able to prove it in court, and he now has to spend money to fix this, it's not fair -- yes, all of that is true. It's not fair. it sucks. Bad things happen. THAT DOESN'T MEAN YOU GET TO ENACT PHYSICAL VIOLENCE ON ANOTHER PERSON.

A 5 from DD goes crazy!!

About parenting yes Oak my dad was the same,I had never had that big talk about "birds and the bees" with him he was never that guy, he did only ask if everything is going well and if I said "yes" that was enough for him. Now I am dad of two boys(16&10)and I try to know and talk with my boys about everything but sometimes they just don't want to do it and I think it is ok to not always push them to talk about everything what they do. But when they have problems they do go to us(me or my wife)and luckily we didn't have any problems with them or their behavior but I do also get scared because they both to have smartphones and the Internet can be scary place. The younger one is being controlled what is he doing on his phone. I am sorry if I am rumbling here but I just wanted to comment because I do have so much respect for you guys and everyone here is great and I really love to talk with you all. 🫶🏻
