2025-06-14 17:25:25 +0000 UTCGlad you enjoyed the film. It's one of the best romcoms ever made. They don't make films like this anymore. I've seen it many times, but it's still enjoyable. 3000 hurdles run (steeplechase) - It is an Olympic sport with men since 1920 and women since 2008.

2025-06-14 10:30:28 +0000 UTCThis movie is so much fun, Kate and Matthew just had amazing chemistry and I think that's what really made the movie work as well as it did. I don't know why it's this movie specifically but Kate always reminds me of Goldie Hawn the most here. I feel like she would have played this role if it had come out more her time and honestly I could have seen Kurt Russel play the Ben role. And speaking of those two if you haven't seen Overboard (1987) get on that one right away! It's one of my all time favorites. But going back to this movie, it is so funny and I loved the supporting characters, both their friends helping them was so good. I always loved too that when Ben's boss tells him that he won the campaign he didn't care that he won the bet but that Andie loved him, it was a very nice touch which also made it crushing when he finds out the truth. A couple of things that always kind of irked me a little though was I never understood why Andie thought she would ever write anything other then composure while working there, that's literally the title of the magazine, people who buy that are not intending to read about politics. And also I wish we got to know more about Andie, we don't know her parents or family like we end up learning about Ben's, the way she broke down in the bathroom showed there was sadness and I wish we got to know more about it, but other then that I love it.
