How can you compare the race swapping here, with this setting, to the late 1700s one in the original? Is race and setting and context that arbitrary to you? They're completely different worlds. There's no point. The original story is great and profound on its own. And the movie is a masterpiece too, no matter your feelings about the show. This show is a seperate story and adaptation. Love it for what it is if you want. No need for competition.

Lestat's crash out after Louis' hookup with Jonah is still hilarious to me. Louis' memory issues definitely breach the concept that we maaay be dealing with an unreliable narrator! Which is one of my favorite tropes! It of course doesn't always mean said narrator is lying or purposely misleading the audience, but the shadow of doubt it casts over the story and the innate mystery that is the unbiased truth is so fascinating to me! Cannot WAIT for Claudia next episode!!
