Ted fumbling the Colin moment is actually a pretty good moment. It helps show that effort is what matters, not that you have to be perfect in supporting someone. Lotta bad faith actors out there will be like "I would like LGBT people, but if you make one genuine mistake in supporting them, they bite your head off", which is largely untrue, and just bigots justifying bigotry.

Joe Walsh and Jimmy Page have two very distinct playing styles and you don't need to try to choose one as 'the best'. But Joe Walsh is undersold, and so many people hype Jimmy Page purely on reputation when they don't even know his work. That will skew any attempt to discuss or analyze their respective skills and abilities. Jade's reaction to Rupert harkens back to something I said earlier in this season when a lot of people were confused at the way she switched so quickly from giving Nate the cold shoulder. She's great at reading other people and telling what they're like under their mask. When Nate was trying to impress other people, and was getting hostile due his own insecurities, she gave him the customer service blank face. It was once he dropped that posing and was genuine about his love for 'A Taste of Athens' that she warmed up to him. With Rupert, he puts on the false charm, but she can instantly tell that he SEEMS nice. Not that he actually is nice. One great callback to season two: When Nate was being specifically mean to Colin during his bully phase, one of the things he said was that Colin wasn't "inspiring". He compared him to hotel wall art, instead of something by a painting master. In this game, the announcers specifically talk about how Colin's performance was so amazing that it was inspiring. Not just that he played well, but that he helped the other players play even better.
