2025-09-19 14:12:16 +0000 UTCI watched this movie last Sunday and I can't stop watching it and listening to the music since then. It's insanely rewatchable. Also it's hard to see but if you look closely at Jinu's wrist during Idol you can see that he is actually wearing the bracelet and if you pay attention during Free you can see that Honmoon is reacting to Jinu's singing showing that he does have a soul.

I think the movie deserves the hype and I like that it's reaching a very wide audience and it's cool to see that despite the title people are giving it chance even if they're not into kpop at all. Greg from ReelRejects just posted an interview with the 3 actresses today if anyone's interested, it was really interesting. Among other things they spoke about growing up Korean American, how Korean content was not known 20 years back, and what it feels like to see the worldwide popularity now.

2025-08-09 23:38:28 +0000 UTCAs a long time KPOP fan, I loved this movie and especially the soundtrack. You can tell exactly which groups the songs/members were inspired by. I agree with Oak, "Golden" is such a catchy song and has been on repeat for me. This is actually my first time watch as well, but I kept seeing covers of the soundtrack pop up which made me want to watch this. Also, the voice of the bad guy (Gwi-Ma) is Lee Byung Hun aka Frontman from Squid Games.
