Agreed. Sam Reid is soooo good in The Newsreader. You should definitely watch the show. The other actors are equally great along with the story.

2025-09-18 18:15:37 +0000 UTCI'm sure others will have said it, but if you want to see more of Sam just being an outstanding actor, the Australian show The Newsreader is exceptionally good. Season 3 is particularly powerful, and there are scenes where he's so good, it's really hard to watch because you feel like you're intruding on someone's very private hell. It's another show where the whole cast are fantastic, but Sam really does stand out. On this episode, OF COURSE the gremlin could have stopped what was happening! Not just change the outcome for Louis, but stopped the whole thing. We've seen him freeze a whole restaurant AND the coven while Louis & Santiago had their dust-up, and who do you suppose froze the restaurant when Louis, Claudia & Madeleine were abducted?! And he didn't even break a sweat. The one time we saw Lestat pull that trick on a lot of people his ears were bleeding & he was exhausted by it. So glad Oak still isn't quite buying Armand's BS.

2025-09-17 07:04:55 +0000 UTCAt least now we know how that dent got on the coffin -- Louis bashed Lestat's face on it in their fight! (I love that on rewatch, you can see that dent all the way back in S1. The attention to detail on this show is AMAZING!)
