Ugh. I despise Beomseok. Kid has an inferiority complex, mix that with trauma, and his constant need for validation and power. He doesnt have feelings for Suho, he envies him. In his mind, Suho is the epitome of power and strength. And when Suho stops him from hurting others, he feels betrayed bcuz he thinks being able to hurt others is power. Which suho denied him from having. Thats why he feels the need to punish Suho.

14:49 — “He is like a totally different person.” — No, we just didn’t know Beom-Seok well earlier. We saw him through Sieun’s perspective, and now it’s finally Beom-Seok’s POV. And all his traumas have come to the surface!

Karaoke rooms (노래방 - norae or 노래 is song and bang 방 is room) are so much fun! Before I moved to Korea, I had no interest in karaoke and had to be convinced to go. I love the private rooms because if you sound like shit, you’re in a safe space with friends and no one cares. 😂 I prefer the 준코 places because you can order food and drinks to your private room. And my students would like you to keep in mind that these are dramas and that while bullying occurs as it does everywhere, these shows do amp it up for dramatic effect. They are aware of the image foreigners may get of their schools via dramas, and because they live it they easily recognize the liberties taken. On the flip side of that, I asked them what is their perception of American schools because of television and they said, “Shootings every week.”
