2021-10-24 08:20:54 +0000 UTCI'm glad it helped. If I get other ideas I'll make sure to tell you about them. I'm doing a project kinda similar to yours. It's a dbz what if project which is a collection of pictures with text to go with them. So I do have a small level of experience in how to build up the character's universe with slice of life pictures. Like you can have one picture where he's looking hungry but he's buying only a meager sandwhich or some salad. Then a follow up picture where he's wearing exactly the same clothes, and he bought some kind of treat for his brothers. The two will then convey the idea he prefered skipping a meal to make sure his brothers aren't missing a single thing.
