New Project: The Dessert Tech MDR
Added 2021-11-10 12:49:59 +0000 UTCToday I share my plan to start working on a brand new project my first weapon mod.
The weapon of choice (if you couldn't tell from the picture or title of this post) is both the 5.56x45mm and 7.62x51mm variants of the Dessert Tech MDR. I wouldn't even be considering working on this project without the support from all you patreons these past few months (I'll get more specifics why in a minute).
Now on with the actual plan
First things first the models and assets are graciously being made game ready and given to me by Sovereign (the wonderful creator of The EFT Pack). Once I have these assets I will be able to start working on this gun mod itself and getting it ready for testing. You may be wondering "How will this gun even be animated no other MDR/bullpup gun exists that you can use the animations from with out major clipping?" that's where you lovely patreons come in, I have saved money these past few months in order to commission an animator to make custom First/Third animations for the gun mod. Who that animator is I don't know as I haven't messaged anyone asking if they would be interested in this, but rest assured once a person is picked you all will be notified with a post like this here and or on discord. Lastly just as a final note to talk about the patreon tier 2 (beta access to WIP mods). Given this mod will be made using BSG assets I do not nor should I feel comfortable putting any beta behind that tier wall so any and all MDR beta's will be public for all to test out on discord. HOWEVER note any and all funds received while working on this will go towards paying for assets/animations so if you would like to fund the early development of this mod you can do so by joining the patreon.
