The story before Master x Wild Dog begins

Below is the detailed backstory before the main plot of the Master X Wild Dog story, explaining Wildfire's rise as a gang leader in the lower town and the events surrounding his assassination attempt on the president.

Wildfire's Childhood

Wildfire grew up in the lower town with his father, who rarely talked about himself. His father was a strict and silent man, incredibly strong and almost invincible, and highly respected in the lower town for resolving conflicts involving the Kibamaru clan. Wildfire admired his father immensely and often followed him into the mountains for training. Despite his father's lack of expressiveness, Wildfire knew he cared for him in his own way.

Later, two younger brothers were born. As conflicts between the upper and lower towns escalated, nobles from the upper town frequently committed crimes and engaged in human trafficking in the lower town. After discussing with the villagers, Wildfire's father decided to storm the upper town alone. His father was unbeatable and successfully rescued the people taken by the upper town, returning victorious. The villagers and Wildfire welcomed him back, but as they celebrated, it turned out to be a trap. Many hostages had been brainwashed, and the scene was surrounded by the Amamiya family, setting the stage for a massacre.

Wildfire's father ultimately took responsibility, asking the Amamiya family to spare the others in exchange for his life. The deal was struck, and Wildfire's father was killed on the spot. Witnessing this, Wildfire wanted to rush in for revenge but chose to hold his two crying brothers instead. "I can't leave; they only have me now."

Wildfire Becomes a Gang Leader

Determined to become as strong as his father, Wildfire trained tirelessly. He believed his father's death was because they were too weak to support him. Wildfire eventually led a group of thugs in the lower town, becoming a gang leader and frequently extorting and robbing nobles. Despite warnings that this would lead to greater conflict, Wildfire and his followers, driven by their hatred for the nobles and the need to support his brothers, ignored them.

Wildfire cherished his two brothers. The second brother, Daichi, was mischievous, enjoyed video games, and aspired to be a fantasy novelist. The youngest, Fuuta, was mature and liked drawing. Wildfire saw a lot of himself in Daichi, and they often played games together. The brothers loved Wildfire deeply, and the three of them relied on each other. This went on for two years.

The Assassination Plan

A new policy from the upper town required the lower town's residents to register with government offices, but it was actually a purge of the Kibamaru clan. Anyone identified as part of the clan was imprisoned, executed, or sold to the upper town. "Damn Amamiya..." Wildfire was furious, knowing the Amamiya family had broken their promise.

Many from the Kibamaru clan went into hiding, unable to attend school or leave their homes. Realizing they couldn't avoid detection forever, the clan planned to smuggle people out of the country. Since the upper town had blocked all exits, they decided to create a diversion in the upper town while the others slipped away. Wildfire volunteered to carry out an assassination with a bomb. The villagers agreed it was the most feasible plan.

Wildfire bid farewell to his brothers, urging them to leave the country with their uncle. Although reluctant, they asked Wildfire to find them if he survived. Wildfire agreed and set off alone, just like his father.

Wildfire successfully detonated the bomb and hid. After receiving confirmation that his family had boarded the ship, he fought off numerous guards, creating chaos. However, the President, unlike typical noble scions, was as strong as Wildfire. Wildfire wounded the President's abdomen but failed to deliver a fatal blow. The President seized the opportunity to grab Wildfire's face and hypnotize him. Wildfire's assassination attempt failed, and he gradually lost consciousness.
