A few nights later, Worshipson invited Wildfire to his room.
"Finally, we get some time alone," Worshipson said, moving closer to Wildfire.
"Do you know what's about to happen next?" Worshipson asked, as he began removing Wildfire’s gear.
"......" Wildfire was about to ask something, but gave up. Considering the person in front of him was the leader of the bloodline, it wasn't hard to imagine what he might do.
Worshipson led Wildfire to the bed.
"I want you to..."
"Tell me a bedtime story!"
Worshipson's face lit up with a childlike expression.
".....Huh?" Wildfire was taken aback.
"I want to hear everything about your past!" Worshipson exclaimed excitedly. "Every battle you've been in, I want to know it all."
"I can't promise I'll remember everything…"
"That's fine! Once you start talking, the memories will come."
Despite the surprise, Wildfire couldn't refuse and began recounting his past.
Wildfire thought he could quickly finish, but Worshipson kept interrupting, asking for more specific details.
"You said he had a tattoo—was it on his arm? His face?"
"You said you blocked his blade—was it with your hand? A weapon?"
Though Wildfire wasn't great with words, Worshipson's curiosity pushed him to describe everything in greater detail. Because of the level of detail, the story moved slowly. Despite being well-read, Worshipson found Wildfire’s past experiences endlessly fascinating. It was as if no history in the world was as vivid as Wildfire’s life as a slave.
In that little room, the only sounds were Wildfire's storytelling and Worshipson's constant questions.
But as soon as they left the room, Worshipson's expression reverted to his usual gentle smile that no one could ever truly read.

The flow of stories told by cartoons is good, but this type of writing doesn't seem bad either.ᕕ( ᐛ )ᕗ There are so many different ways of telling a story, but I think various attempts are always cool. Well... I'm realistically getting more work, so I can't read Fanbox articles often. However, how to express the wrinkles on the old man's face last time or design a new character in a past story may be a new pleasure for Aminor. Basically, the story of the main character is interesting, but it seems that today's painters really need the ability to express various characters and things. And I think this past story will be a bit of a bright story, so I think I can see a new charm.
