Snap vote on next long video.
Added 2020-01-04 04:10:06 +0000 UTCSo.... it happened. There was a tie in the vote for the next long video (1-2 hours long) that I would make after the Turkey video. The tie was between the Ireland documentary and a long form China documentary.
The other topic that got a lot of votes was a documentary about Switzerland. So i will add it here for good measure.
Usually it is the privelege of the large patreon contributers to select the topic for the long videos, but since we have a tie, and we need to break that tie, we will have an out of the ordinary round of voting now that is open to all Patreons. You will have 5 days to vote.
Here are the topics:
-EVERYTHING Ireland
This would be my longest project, possibly 4-5 hours long, covering 8000 years of Irish history. But. It. Will. Be. Done. There will be more depth to the often overlooked time periods of the Irish history book, which in my mind ae the 5th century, the 16th century and the 19th century. And of course there will be especially much depth on the last 100 years. Just keep in mind that making this could take up to 4 months.
-The Chinese Century
I believe my China video was short on explaining how China became a superpower. So i would like to make another long video about it. This video would be an especially in depth look on China from 1812 to 2018. I would like to go into detail about individual political leaders, social and economic developments and How a nation collapsed into Chaos only to then rebuild. There would be special attention on the 1980s and Chairman Deng.
-EVERYTHING Switzerland
From start to finish, a full 4000 years of history of what is the center of Europe. From Celtic tribes watching Hannibals Elephants to a group of peasants who kicked out the Austrians, to the medieval safe heaven of persecuted religious minorities, to the squabbles Napoleon invited to what we have today. Perched in the center of Europe, a weird country of many languages and peoples, both isolationist and open at the same time, that also happens to be the world's only functioning confederacy.

"None of the above" option is missing.

nefarious
