We need to have a chat about content
Added 2020-11-15 10:56:27 +0000 UTCAs I am working on the Mexico video i am realizing increasingly one thing. That being that the current format is not sustainable at the time. My channel made 9000 euros in total this year, which was ok while I still had a job, but now that I don't, it no longer is. I have to make more than 4 videos a year.
When the Mexico video is finished I will sit down and work on the West Africa video. But afterward, I am going to have to ask you to give me at least half a year to furiously work on short videos. I am still going to give you the vote on what those videos should be about, but I will be scrapping all long projects until i can hire people to help me make them.
I believe I need to have, especially now that I am unemployed, a prolonged period of time during which I produce 20 or so videos, which I can then upload all at once to my channel with different dates to publish at a pace of one video a month. And I believe I should start doing this starting with Jannuary 2021. When i have that basis of short form videos on my channel, i can then step up work on the long form projects again.
Please, add your opinions to this, I would like to read them.

I also wouldn't mind if you split up the long videos into 20 to 30 minute segments. I don't always have time to consume 2 to 3 hours of information. I am assuming you are telling us this because you are concerned about our financial situation or that some patrons won't want to pay for all the shorter videos. We patrons can always adjust our contribution per video so that it won't negatively affect us financially. You could also give us the option for a monthly donation.
2020-11-20 19:54:09 +0000 UTCI'd suggest you just split up bigger videos in bite-sized episodes of 20-30 minutes. I personally love the depth and reach of your longer essays, and wouldn't mind having them be split up and uploaded every couple of weeks
