Would you be interested in "Denazification"

"Denazification" is thew process by which Nazi leaders were prosecuted after WW2, but also describes the cultural process of self reflection and critically examining our national history as Germans from 1964 to 1999. Such a video would be a lot more "academic" and information packed, and as a topic considerably more heavy.
However if we want to discuss the process of historical self-reflection in the future, like about countries like Japan, South Africa, Brazil, Spain, Argentina, USA, and many others, it may be useful to have a baseline understanding and reference point.

Maybe if it's a proper reflection. From my Dutch perspective Germany just tries to push away the extreme right from public debate by having criminalized a lot of elements. This suppression ignores a lot of latent opinions on the debate of immigration within Germany.

2021-11-30 22:49:26 +0000 UTCDe-Nazification good in theory and in practice but doesn't always try to translate with other countries, not sure if Japan had its own De-Militarization or De-Nationalist moment but there Japan doesn't seem to share the reflective values that Germany has probably due to culture in Asia and how they view shame, same can be said for Turkey and Italy. There was also the fact the U.S. tried to repeat methods of De-Nazification in Germany and pacification of Japan but with Iraq with De-Baathifaction after the overthrow of Saddam Hussein and his Baath Party, with very little results and made things worse.
