The videos against the alt right are gone
Added 2021-12-01 23:33:31 +0000 UTCIf you browsed my channel recently you probably noticed that all the videos I made critiquing the alt right are gone. They were not flagged, I took them down. I also took down all the culture war videos that I have made. I told you this would happen by the time 2022 rolled in.
I know a lot of you were opposed to this. And I understand that. Some of you really like those videos and that is why I encouraged you to download them if you liked them. Most of the videos are unlisted, so you can still get access to them to download them. I know that in particular my video about Black Pigeon Speaks and my video about Tariq Nasheed, are videos that many of you wanted to stay up. So if you ask for them, I shall give you the links to them.
As to why I took them down. I have mulled on this for the larger part of three years. To put it short, I will no longer take part in culture war commentary. I will no longer make response videos, or videos critical of other creators. The topics I will cover from now on will be based entirely in the real offline world. I am no longer part of that sphere of the internet, and I do not wish to return to it.
It is also personal. I feel like I wasted my and your time from 2017 to 2019 with the videos I made against the alt right. It was a very fruitless and painful endeavour during which I was largely alone. Those videos constantly reminded me of that. They made me feel increasingly uncomfortable over time, like some constant reminder of something awful. I do not regret making videos against the alt right, but I despise what happened because of it. Other than that I also wish to cut associations and ties with former associates from even before that time.
Things will substantially change here in 2022. I have collected a group of creators I work with in what is gradually shaping into a community of youtubers, and we are turning a new page to define who we are going to be. And those old videos, those old communities, they can simply not be part of where we are heading. Being the biggest creator of that community means I will have to lead by example of sorts, and set the standards for how we behave, how we make content, what type of content we make, and how we will be perceived.
We are going into a direction where there will be no fights with other creators, no response videos, no attack videos, no live streamed shouting matches, and a high standard of quality that we set for ourselves.
This does not mean that I will become colder and more corporate. The opposite, we just want to create an environment that is more welcoming to everyone by trying to build something without the persistent confrontative attack culture and unnecessary cruelty that prevails throughout much of the internet and is pretty much the foundation of what I used to be a part of.

If this isn't too public, can someone just post all of the links here to the unlisted videos? The videos that covered the alt-right better than almost anyone else's. If you do not want to share them here, I understand.
