To Poland and Hungary!

We will discuss how The medieval Kingdom of hungary and the Polish Lithuanian commonwealth became regional superpowers of their time. How Hungary used to dominae the balkans, and how Poland used to be the unquestionable powerhouse of Eastern Europe.
But far more importantly, we will discuss how these two powerful enteties disapeard. How Hungary got so weakened that the Ottomans just marched straight through it, and how Poland disintegrated and was torn to pieces by it's neighbours.
What forces and political developments lead to the collapse of these two kingdoms? Are there legacies of these developments still impacting these countries to this day? And what could we possibly learn from them?
