JJK Chapter 1

A/N: So, I like to write stories randomly once in a while. Today I was feeling a bit creative and just ended up writing this chapter. I haven't thought of any plot but the chapter felt good enough, so why don't you guys read it and give me some feedback in the comments?

This is an original fanfic written by me, not a translation.

TITLE: Jujutsu Kaisen: All Techniques Are Mine!

"Haven't seen you around. Who are you?" I asked.

"I'm looking for someone. Don't mind me," Megumi said as he walked past me.

Man, this has really messed me up. I thought the world was normal, but ever since I started high school and met Yuji, I haven't been able to sleep at all!

Suddenly, Yuji zipped past me.

"Yuji?" I called out, but he ignored me and kept running. This wasn't like him. A chill ran down my spine out of nowhere.

"Hey, you!" Megumi shouted, running after Yuji, but by then, he had already disappeared.

[You felt the malice from Sukuna Ryomen's finger. Skill [Malice Sense] has been obtained.]

What?!

No way! I got a cheat!

Megumi turned to me, his voice urgent. "You know that guy?"

"Yeah, he's a classmate."

"Where does he live?"

I knew what Megumi was thinking, but come on—logically, can I really give a friend's location to a stranger, just because he asked?

Seeing my hesitation, Megumi added, "It's important! That guy's life is in danger!"

"Really?" I asked, pretending to be horrified. "You should go to the hospital, then. He probably ran off to visit his grandpa."

I gave Megumi directions to the hospital but stayed behind. The cheat changed everything.

Honestly, I had originally been planning to escape the country. I didn't have much money, and I'd thought about robbing a few houses to get enough to run off to a cheaper place to live.

But how could I stick to that plan now that I had a cheat?

I didn't know how it worked yet, but I had to figure it out. What triggers it? What doesn't?

With that in mind, I wandered over to where some students were playing basketball and watched. Nothing happened. I tried staring at people playing different sports, but no blue screen popped up saying I'd gained a skill.

Do I need to feel something? Maybe it only works on jujutsu-related things?

I remembered hearing about a cursed spirit hanging around the school. I hadn't seen it yet, though. Maybe if I searched enough, I'd find it?

I spent the entire day searching but found no cursed spirit. Maybe [Malice Sense] only picks up malice directed at me? And technically, it's a sense, not sight. Maybe I'll need a skill related to sight to actually see curses.

It looked like I'd have to get involved in tonight's mess. It would benefit me, no doubt. If the cheat lets me gain skills from observing jujutsu-related things, then where better to get skills than at Jujutsu High itself?

Tonight should be a great harvest of skills.

I headed over to the Occult Club's room. Sasaki and Iguchi-senpai were already there, setting up to unseal Sukuna's finger.

When they heard the door open, they turned around.

"Oh, Daiki! What are you doing here?" Sasaki-senpai asked.

"I heard you guys had something creepy. I wanted to see it," I said with a shrug.

Sasaki-senpai gave me a sly grin and teased, "If you join the Occult Club, I'll let you see it."

"Sure," I shrugged again. I'd be transferring soon anyway.

She patted the seat next to her, and I sat down. Iguchi-senpai turned off the lights to create a spooky vibe.

I switched on my phone's flashlight; it was already dark outside.

Sukuna's finger. I wonder how disgusting it looks in real life. Will I get a skill from it?

The [Malice Sense] kicked in, and Sukuna's malice filled the room. The guy truly hated everything. Definitely deserving of the title "generational hater."

Sasaki-senpai carefully unwrapped the bandages around the finger, one by one. There were a lot of them.

Finally, there it was—Sukuna's finger. The ugliest thing I've ever seen. Red, rotten, long, and wrinkled. Thankfully, it didn't smell.

[You have seen Sukuna's finger. You have obtained [Power Compression] skill.]

Power compression? Does that mean I can compress my power into my finger? Could I take over someone like Sukuna did with Megumi?

The cheat is kinda useless, though. It should at least explain the skill!

A creepy gurgling sound came from above. I looked up and saw multiple eyes staring down at me.

[You have seen a Cursed Spirit. You have obtained [Cursed Sight] skill.]

[Congratulations on obtaining three skills.]

[System Level Up!]

[You now have the authority to view the descriptions of your skills. Do you want to view the descriptions?]

I needed to escape.

Green, gooey hands stretched toward the finger, too hungry to even notice us.

"Sasaki-senpai, Iguchi-senpai, run," I whispered.

They looked at me, confused. I signaled toward the ceiling. Sasaki-senpai let out a tiny squeak.

Iguchi-senpai, self-proclaimed horror movie expert, saw it and immediately grabbed Sasaki-senpai, backing away slowly. I followed them, quietly moving towards the door.

As I touched the handle, it creaked loudly in the silence. The cursed spirit shifted, looking straight at me.

Crap.

"RUN!" I screamed, bolting down the stairs. Sasaki-senpai and Iguchi-senpai ran the other way.

The cursed spirit hadn't noticed them—it was after me.

"i'm s00rrY! I'll gEt gUUd GRAdes!" it screeched as it crawled towards me, way too fast.

I can see the spirit, compress my power, and sense malice, but I don't have anything to kill it with! And where are those two?!

I glanced back just as its hand was about to grab me. Bam! I crashed into a window, smashing through it and hitting the ground. My vision blurred, blood pooling around me, and my hearing muffled.

I heard the cursed spirit giggle as it approached. My hands fumbled for something, anything to defend myself.

Ouch. Yes! I grabbed a shard of glass and hid it behind my back.

The thing's many hands reached for me, lifting me. Its grip wasn't tight, and my hands were still free.

I slashed at one of its smaller hands. It screeched, tightening its hold. But the hand healed instantly, and I smiled.

[You have seen Reverse Cursed Technique in use. You have obtained [Heal] skill.]

My vision cleared. Adrenaline pumped through me as I grinned. I bit down on its hand like a wild animal, tearing off a chunk of its flesh. Disgusting, but it worked. The thing screamed and slammed me into the wall, but I healed instantly.

It tore my arm off in a rage. I didn't care—I bit it again.

Let's see who eats who first, you freak!

The brutal back-and-forth continued. I wasn't strong enough to kill it, but it couldn't eat me fast enough because I kept healing. I still didn't have cursed energy, but I couldn't care less right now.

"DAIKI!" Yuji's voice rang out. Finally, he was here.

He jumped in, slamming his foot into the cursed spirit. My body healed properly for the first time.

Yuji pulled me up and dashed out of the room.

[You have observed Yuji Itadori's unnatural strength. You have obtained [Genetically Engineered] skill.]

A rush of strength filled my muscles, tightening and growing stronger. No wonder Yuji had such insane abilities.

"I'm fine, Yuji. Let me down," I said, patting his back. He set me down, confusion all over his face.

"Bro, I just saw that thing eat your shoulder. How are you fine?"

"I don't know. I saw it heal and somehow did the same myself," I shrugged, playing it off as some crazy talent.

"He healed?" Megumi's voice cut in. He formed a hand sign, summoning two wolves, one white and one black, from the shadows.

[You have witnessed the Ten Shadows Cursed Technique in use. Skill [Shadow Realm] has been obtained.]

Now that I can breathe let me see the description of every skill.

[Malice Sense: Allows you to sense malice directed at you. Also senses malice that is leaked for all.]

[Power Compression: Allows you to contain all of you power in your fingers.]

[Cursed Sight: Allows you to view everything related to curse energy.]

[Heal: Allows you to heal from any and all grievous wound. Mimics Reverse Cursed Energy's healing but isn't it.]

[Genetically Engineered: Gives you physical capabilities surpassing that of a human. Makes you something akin to a super-soldier.]

[Shadow Realm: Allows you to use Shadows as a separate dimension. Allows you to store things in shadows including yourself.]

Sounds basic. But I can see that just seeing the Ten Shadows Technique didn't give me Mahoraga or his adaptability, I guess I get skills in accordance to what I observe.

I take the opportunity to watch the Divine Dogs. Right now, they were attacking the cursed spirit that I was engaged with previously. It didn't take them much time to rip it to shreds.

[You have observed the Divine Dogs biting. Skill [Strong Bite] has been obtained.]

[Strong Bite: Allows you to tear apart cursed spirit on the weaker side to shred just from your teeth.]

This confirmed it. If I were to look at Mahoraga adapt, I'd gain the skill to adapt to all phenomena as well. This was great news. But the problem was how would I even explain it? I don't have cursed energy but I would be able to do all kind of crazy shit.

I thought for a moment before deciding that I will just act oblivious in front of everyone. Well, Gojo might catch me lying immediately because of his special eyes. If he breaches the subject I'll just tell him that I can get abilities by observing people. It would make everything a whole lot easier for me.

Most importantly, I'd have a reason to witness all of his technique.

"You," Megumi called me. "Are you fine?"

"Feel better than ever."

He shot me a suspicious gaze and said, "This guy," he pointed to Yuji," was talking about you healing. And you," he pointed at me, "confirmed it."

I shrugged and said, "Yeah. I cut that thing's hand off and it regenerated. I looked at that for a while, and could do it myself all of a sudden."

Megumi narrowed his eyes and said, "Not possible. You don't a speck of cursed energy."

I just spread my arms and said, "I've got no other explanation brother. My advice for you would be to see me do more crazy shit until you believe it."

"If that is really the case, maybe its some kind of heavenly restriction?" Megumi muttered.

"Heavenly restriction?" Yuji asked worriedly. Aww.

Megumi ignored the question and said, "Where's the finger?"

"Should still be in the occult club room. The guy chased us."

"Shit!" Megumi cursed, "There are multiple curses in the school. Quickly point me to where the finger is. Those curses are after it!"

I started running.

I half expected to crash due to my suddenly better body and my brain having not adapted to it just like Steve Rogers but that never happened.

Skidding to a halt, I opened the door to the club room. There was another curse, saliva dropping from its mouth ready to eat the finger. I crouched and gave it a flying kick. My foot sunk on it face as it backed off.

"IM bEUTIFUL!" It screamed. The wolves launched themselves at it, eating it up immediately.

The finger was in the room.

"What's with these ugly bastards trying to eat this ugly finger?" Yuji asked Megumi and turned to me with stars shining in his eyes, "BRO! I didn't know you were that fast! I think you were just as fast as me!"

I grinned at him and said, "Meh, you're probably faster. You're the Tiger of the West, after all." I elbowed him. He grinned and hugged me by the shoulder.

Megumi grabbed the finger and said, "This is Sukuna Ryomen's finger. Eating it give those things power."

"Cool," Yuji said. I looked around, my guard still up.

There was one additional curse that we haven't fought yet. Where is it going to come from? In the anime, it came from above. My gaze turned to ceiling and right there a portal opened.

Fuck, it was Kenjaku all along! There's no doubt that thing is Geto's cursed technique.

[You have witnessed Cursed Spirit Manipulation's summoning technique. Skill [Summon] gained.]

[Summon: You can summon the beasts you have tamed to your side immediately.]

"ANOTHER ONE!" I screamed, Megumi was the first to react. He pushed me and Yuji away and took the full blow of the cursed spirit dropping on us.

Smoke billowed. Walls flew. And suddenly, I was outside of the building.

Where is everyone? I turned around in hurry. There. On huge balcony, Megumi stood with his dogs by his side. Yuji besides him. Their focus was on the beast. Good. I should approach them.

But I couldn't move. I glanced down and saw a huge rod had impaled me. Ugh, shit.

I grabbed the rod and yanked it out. For some reason, I wasn't feeling pain all that much. It was almost non-existent. Must be the [Genetically Engineered].

The wound closed and I ran. The balcony was on the other side so I needed to run for a while before getting to the balcony. The distance was great, otherwise I'd have jumped.

Shit. Does the world need to force the plot so much?

Yuji gulped the finger just as I reached the balcony.

[You witnessed Sukuna Ryomen taking over Yuji. Skill [Take Over] obtained.]

[You witnessed Yuji Itadori gain cursed energy. Skill [Cursed Energy Source] gained.]

[Take Over: You can take over the body of others. Keep in mind, you can fail and instead become trapped in their body. Taking over grants you all of their abilities.]

[Cursed Energy Source: Your body can generate Cursed Energy.]

A cold feeling emerged from my stomach. So, this was cursed energy. But how much is it even generating? Maybe its equal to cursed energy worth one finger of Sukuna? I only got skills from observing a specific action, so it makes sense to be so.

Sukuna waved his hand and the cursed spirit disintegrated.

[You witnessed a Cursed Technique imprint in Yuji Itadori. Skill [Slot] obtained.]

[Slot: Gives you two slot in your brain to host cursed techniques.]

Neat. I can use cursed technique too. Too bad, I don't have one. Maybe in the future I'll get a skill to make a cursed technique? That'd be sick.

While I was monologuing, Sukuna finished with his own entrance speech until Yuji took back control.

Megumi got into position and started spouting jujutsu rules and shit and that he would have to execute Yuji. Honestly, who gives a fuck?

I made moved forward and smacked Megumi on the back of his head. "Quite being so serious. Look, the guy's totally fine," I said pointing to Yuji.

A weird breeze blew behind me and I turned. Low and behold, Satoru Gojo arrived and started taking pictures of Megumi immediately. Not gonna lie, Megumi did look shit. It'd be good to have some embarrassing photos around.

"So who are you?" Gojo asked me, neck stretched. His nose nearly touching mine.

I grabbed his face to push him away, well, tried to, cause infinity got in the way and no matter what I did, I couldn't push him away. "Fuck man, back off!"

[You have witnessed Satoru Gojo's infinity. Skill [Slow] obtained.]

[Slow: Allows you to create a barrier where everything approaching the area encased in the barrier slows down until it stops. It uses cursed energy to be effective. If the cursed energy used to form the barrier is less than the attack's cursed energy, the barrier will be broken. In case of pure force, if the equivalent cursed energy of the force exceeds the cursed energy used to form the barrier, then the barrier will be broken.]
