Chapter 208: The Lightning Titan that Absorbs Storms

"It really is Celestial Magic!"

George's lips twitched as he stared at the colossal meteor descending from the sky.

"Everyone, gather here."

The meteor was massive—definitely beyond their combined defensive capabilities. If they couldn't block it, their only option was to evade.

Hearing George's telepathic message, everyone, including Lucy and the others, quickly regrouped around him.

"Natsu, use Brilliant Flame!"

"Flame in the left hand, flame in the right hand—when combined, they form the Brilliant Flame of the Fire Dragon!"

Merging his own fire with the flames absorbed from the Fire Curse, Natsu launched a massive blaze upward to intercept the meteor.

Taking this opportunity, George pointed a finger at the ice surface below.

"Mirror World!"

Ripples spread across the icy ground, and everyone simultaneously fell into a mirrored realm opposite to reality.

"What just happened?"

Lucy and the others were bewildered as they watched the meteor shatter the Brilliant Flame, continuing its descent. Yet, even the enormous tsunami that followed failed to affect them.

"This is my Mirror Magic," George explained. "It temporarily places us in a mirrored world, unaffected by the outside."

From the side, Sho remarked, "A type of spatial magic—similar to mine."

Sho's magic allowed him to create a space within playing cards and trap enemies inside. Though similar, the card space was much smaller than George's mirrored realm.

"Jellal is proficient in various types of magic, including spatial manipulation. He'll detect this place soon," Simon warned while observing the tsunami outside.

"We should leave. We're no match for Jellal."

"We can't," Erza countered. "If Jellal succeeds in reviving Zeref, it will be a disaster for the entire world."

Turning to George, Erza said, "Take them and leave. I'll stay behind and find a chance to take Jellal down."

"I'm not leaving."

"Neither am I."

"If Gray isn't leaving, I won't either!"

Natsu, Gray, and the others refused to let Erza face the danger alone, determined to continue the fight.

George thought for a moment and revised his plan.

"That magic earlier must have consumed a significant amount of his energy.

I have a powerful spell that might defeat him, but I'll need time to prepare."

He wasn't ready to give up the massive magical crystal either.

"How much time do you need?" Erza asked.

"At least seven minutes," George calculated.

The spell he planned to use was an ancient incantation that took considerable time to cast.

Enhanced by this world's magical wand, his storm magic would be far stronger than it was back in Marvel's Asgard. Still, he knew it might not be enough against Jellal, so he devised a new strategy.

If it worked, victory was assured. If not, he would abandon the magical crystal and teleport everyone to safety. Survival was the priority.

"Don't worry; we'll buy you the time you need," Erza reassured, her resolve evident as she switched to her strongest armor and gripped her magical swords. She was determined to hold the line, even at the cost of her life.

"Head for the island. The magical crystal there will limit his destructive options," George suggested.

The group flew toward the small island in the mirrored realm. Fighting on the island meant Jellal couldn't unleash large-scale magic like Starfall without risking the crystal's destruction.

Meanwhile, outside the mirrored world, Jellal hovered in the air. After the tsunami subsided, he frowned at the absence of magical energy from his enemies.

"They can't all be dead."

He knew the power of his celestial magic—it could obliterate ordinary foes entirely. However, an S-Class mage like Erza, equipped with her adamantine armor, should at most be gravely injured, not eliminated.

As a member of the Magic Council, Jellal had access to intelligence on Fairy Tail's members and their capabilities. He didn't believe they could be taken down so easily.

"It seems they've hidden themselves. Let's see where you've gone," Jellal muttered, activating his magical detection.

In less than two minutes, he pinpointed the breach in the mirrored space. With a wave of his hand, he cast a spatial spell to force open the connection, stepping into the mirrored world.

Inside, he immediately sensed the group's presence and headed toward the island.

"So, he really did come in," George muttered as he sensed Jellal entering the mirrored world. Using the magical crystal as a portal, he quickly returned everyone to the real world.

Simon had warned that Jellal could enter the mirrored space, so George wasn't entirely surprised.

Though the worlds differed, the essence of magic was the same.

In this world, spatial magic wasn't invincible. Erza was attacked from a attack could slice through space, and Erza could cut her way out of the card seal. Thus, Jellal, a powerful mage well-versed in various spells, breaking into the mirrored space wasn't unexpected.

"Such magic is best suited against brutes like Natsu," George thought. "For researchers like Jellal, it's only a matter of time before it's cracked."

"Let's see where you'll run this time!" Jellal sneered, reappearing in the real world.

"Jellal, I'll end this here and now!" Erza charged with her dual swords, followed by Natsu, Gray, Juvia, Lucy, and the others. Even Simon, Sho, Wally, and Milliana joined the fray, despite their fatigue.

Meanwhile, George stepped back, chanting the lengthy incantation for his ancient spell.

Though Jellal refrained from large-scale magic, he still effortlessly overpowered everyone in direct combat.

Finally, George completed his spell.

"Storm Descends—Lightning Titan!"

As the chant ended, George activated his ability. He gathered iron sand and rock from the island, slowly forming a towering titan infused with lightning.

Indeed, George's plan was to test whether the Lightning Titan could absorb the storm's lightning to amplify its power.

"If this works," George thought, "victory will be ours."
