Chapter 220: The Disaster That Will Destroy the World

"This is the light magic that dispels darkness, and also the magic I used to kill the Dementor."

George didn't use a wand, and a massive white magical circle suddenly appeared in front of him.

"Light Array!"

"Light Domain!"

"Light Explosion!"

"Light Rain!"

He cast several light-based magic spells before continuing with the second magic.

"This is Giant Magic, which allows me to enlarge my body."

A magic circle appeared again on his body, and his arms instantly inflated. With a single punch, he smashed a tree nearby that would have taken several people to destroy.

"This is the giant's fist."

Then, his entire body swelled to over ten meters tall.

"This is gigantification. In this state, my strength surpasses even that of the giants."

He clapped his hands, and a fierce wind howled.

He punched the ground, and Snape and Dumbledore felt the earth tremble.

If they hadn't known George was a pure human, they might have believed he was a giant—one of the tallest among them.

Shrinking back to his normal size, George reached out and drew in the air.

"This is Written Magic!"

"This is Formation Barrier!"

"This is Transformation Magic!"

"This is Costume Changing Magic!"

"This is Mimicry Transformation Magic!"

"This is Mirror World Magic!"

After showing these, George continued, "What I just demonstrated were various spells taught to me by the old man. Now, let me show you the special power he gave me within my body."

Once again, he was enveloped in electric light.

"This move is called the Super Electromagnetic Cannon!"

He reached out, grabbed a silver bullet, and with the electric charge wrapping around it, aimed and shot it forward at supersonic speed, obliterating everything in its path.

Moments later, a wide path had appeared in front of him.

Snape and Dumbledore were both stunned.

Just that one move could eliminate over ninety percent of wizards in the world.

A wizard who could cast magic silently, without a wand, and instantly, was extremely rare in the magical world.

Most wizards needed to wave their wands and chant incantations, requiring at least a second to prepare.

Therefore, against George's supersonic electromagnetic cannon, they wouldn't have had time to cast any defense or counterattacks.

What was even more terrifying was the power of the cannon—if they were hit, they would probably be destroyed instantly.

"Next is the Thunder Giant and the enlarged version of the Super Electromagnetic Cannon!"

George's body radiated magnetic force as a thunder giant, over thirty meters tall, gradually took shape. When he was about to demonstrate the enlarged version of the cannon, Dumbledore hurriedly used the Amplifying Charm to shout,

"Stop, you don't need to show any more! We believe you. Quickly return to your original form!"

The noise from earlier had already disturbed many magical creatures and primitive residents in the Forbidden Forest. If George were to launch the enlarged Super Electromagnetic Cannon now, things would get complicated.

There were also Aurors and Dementors stationed at the school exits.

So, Dumbledore called for a halt. Once George reverted to his original form, he immediately used the Repairing Charm to restore the damaged trees nearby, then flew back to the office with Snape and George.

"Actually, I have some more things to show."

Back in the office, George blinked his large eyes.

Dumbledore and Snape raised their hands in unison to stop him:

"No, you don't need to anymore. We believe you!"

To be honest, both of them were still somewhat dazed.

So many different types of magic, so many completely different spells from what they knew, and none of them required a wand, yet all of them were incredibly powerful.

This clearly couldn't be some ancient magic George had learned from a book.

They weren't unfamiliar with ancient magic. It was just that its casting speed was slower and the power was surprising, but the principles and other aspects of the magic didn't differ much from modern magic.

Modern magic was simply an optimized version of ancient magic, with new spells developed on top of the basics.

But the spells George was using were from an entirely different system of magic.

With their magical knowledge, they couldn't even grasp the principles, let alone believe George had created them or learned them from a book.

And his Thunder Giant and Super Electromagnetic Cannon had completely surpassed their understanding.

So, aside from the possibility that George's magic had been taught by a deity, they really couldn't think of any other explanation for it.

After a long pause, Dumbledore finally spoke up:

"Did the deity mention its identity? Did it tell you why it chose to teach you magic?"

Now, Dumbledore believed about seventy to eighty percent of George's story, but he still had some doubts.

George was prepared for this question.

"The old man didn't tell me who he was. He only said he was a deity. He taught me magic because in twenty years, a huge disaster will strike the world—a disaster that could wipe out all of humanity.

He said I was chosen for this purpose, to face that disaster and prevent the extinction of humanity."

"What!"

Both Snape and Dumbledore's pupils contracted.

"What kind of disaster?"

The idea of wiping out all humanity was unimaginable. Even if Voldemort revived and took over the world, it wouldn't lead to the extinction of every human.

What kind of terrifying disaster would occur in twenty years that could destroy all humanity?

At that moment, Snape and Dumbledore's focus shifted from the deity to the disaster.

George cleared his throat and began his elaborate tale:

"Actually, I'm not really sure, and I can't fully understand it. I'll just relay what the old man told me.

He said that beyond the planet we live on, there is a vast universe, filled with more advanced civilizations than ours.

He mentioned the Xandar civilization, the Kree Empire, the Skrull Empire, and..."

Three hours later, at two in the morning, George had finished his fabricated story.

Fortunately, there was no Marvel-related material in this world, so he could use their stories to deceive Snape and Dumbledore.

"So, you're saying that in twenty years, an alien called Thanos will come with his cosmic army to invade Earth and wipe out humanity, and the deity taught you magic to defeat them and protect Earth and humanity?"

Snape stared blankly. The information George provided was overwhelming, and he couldn't process or understand it all at once.

As a Slytherin wizard, Snape didn't know much about Muggles and had very little concept of the universe or aliens.

His understanding of the universe mostly came from magical astronomy, using stars for divination.

But George's description sounded so real—those alien empires, the space battleships, their powers and civilization—it didn't sound fake at all.
