Chapter 223: The Power of the Plasma Electromagnetic Cannon

If the two could be combined, the name could be Plasma Electromagnetic Cannon, or Electromagnetic Particle Cannon. To simplify further, it could be called Plasma Cannon or Electromagnetic Cannon.

"Let's give it a try!"

Immediately Apparating to an empty plot of land on the outskirts of New York, George set up a Muggle-repelling charm and a magical barrier, and then began his attempt.

"Plasma Cannon!"

He brought his hands together and slowly pulled them apart. Gradually, a plasma sphere the size of an egg appeared in his palms.

Next, according to the usual procedure, all he had to do was aim and fire the plasma sphere to complete the spell.

However, he didn't do that. Instead, while trying to maintain the plasma sphere, his body was enveloped by electricity, and he began to channel the current from his hands into the sphere.

As he injected more power, the plasma sphere grew larger, from the size of an egg to the size of an apple, and then slowly expanded to the size of a pear.

Unfortunately, before he could continue adding power, he lost control, and the plasma sphere exploded, creating a deep crater over ten meters wide in the ground.

Fortunately, his physical constitution was strong, and with his ability to control electricity, he wasn't harmed.

"Keep going!"

After the first attempt failed, he didn't give up and tried again.

Combining superhuman abilities and magic to create a new technique wasn't as easy as it seemed.

This was different from when he combined ancient magic with the Thunder Giant.

That combination wasn't truly merging; it involved using ancient magic to release massive amounts of lightning, and then the Thunder Giant absorbed the lightning to strengthen itself.

Even without ancient magic, using scientific equipment to release large amounts of lightning for the Thunder Giant to absorb could achieve a similar result, without much technical complexity.

With each attempt and failure, George had his main body and other world clones temporarily put aside their tasks, focusing all their efforts on developing the Electromagnetic Cannon.

Five days later, with five bodies researching simultaneously, plus the Time Turner from the Harry Potter world, it was as if six bodies were working together, which equaled about thirty days of research time.

Finally, he successfully created the new technique combining superpowers and magic: the Electromagnetic Cannon.

"Plasma Electromagnetic Cannon!"

Standing in the open field, he pulled his hands apart, creating a plasma cannon the size of an egg, then forcefully injected electricity into it until it reached the size of two basketballs, before pushing it forward.

Instantly, the two basketball-sized plasma cannon shot out a plasma beam, striking a small mountain over three hundred meters tall.

The center of the mountain was vaporized, leaving a large hole.

However, the power of the Plasma Electromagnetic Cannon didn't stop there, as the plasma beam didn't dissipate. Instead, it maintained its state.

George controlled the plasma beam and moved it left and right, slicing the small mountain in half with the beam.

The effect of the Plasma Electromagnetic Cannon spell was strikingly similar to a special attack used by a little girl who could summon fire in a mobile game George had played in his past life.

Only, while the girl summoned a fire column, he summoned a plasma column.

About ten seconds later, the plasma beam dissipated, and George let out a sigh of relief.

Maintaining the plasma column wasn't easy. After several days of study and practice, he could only hold it for ten seconds at most.

Nevertheless, he was quite satisfied with the power.

Once his superpower level reached five, the power would increase further.

"Too bad I can't use it in Thunder Giant form."

Looking at the destroyed mountain in the distance, George lamented.

If he could combine ancient magic and the Thunder Giant with the Plasma Electromagnetic Cannon, he could probably take out an average Saint Ten Wizard instantly.

The Thunder Giant's principle involved using electromagnetic force to attract iron sand and rocks from the ground and then releasing an enlarged version of the electromagnetic cannon.

The Plasma Electromagnetic Cannon, on the other hand, fused electricity into the plasma cannon, making it impossible to combine with the Thunder Giant or absorb the lightning from ancient magic.

However, this problem wasn't unsolvable.

If his superpower could level up from four to five, he could split the electricity in half: one half for the Thunder Giant and the other for the Plasma Cannon, allowing both to work simultaneously.

Then, by absorbing ancient magic lightning, the overall power could be boosted.

This way, he could release an ultimate Plasma Electromagnetic Cannon powerful enough to destroy an entire city.

"No rush, I'll take it slow."

George Apparated back to David's laboratory beneath the subway.

"Next, I need to learn the Soul Separation Charm and the Soul Sealing Charm."

The Soul Separation Charm is a spell that can separate a person's soul from their body. It was the spell used by Balthazar to extract Morgana's soul from Veronica's body.

If George wanted to obtain the Resurrection Charm from Morgana, he would have to release her alone. If he brought Balthazar and David along, interrogating Morgana for the Resurrection Charm would be difficult.

To release Morgana alone, he needed to consider two aspects.

The first aspect was combat: he had to be strong enough to defeat Morgana on his own.

This was not an issue; with the power of the Plasma Electromagnetic Cannon, George's attack could easily surpass David's machine gun-like plasma cannon, and a single hit would likely end Morgana.

The second aspect was more complex.

He needed to separate Morgana's soul from Veronica's body without harming Veronica.

To do this, he would need to learn the most difficult soul-related magic from the Merlin School.

Since he had to learn the Soul Separation Charm, he might as well study the Soul Sealing Charm as well, as he saw it as a useful spell.

In the future, if he encountered any beings that couldn't be killed, he could seal them away directly.

However, he had never studied soul magic before, so learning these spells would likely take a considerable amount of time.

But that was fine; there was no immediate need for these spells, and he could take his time.

Perhaps he could even find knowledge related to soul magic from his clones in other worlds, which would help him learn these spells more quickly.

For example, he could learn about soul magic from Voldemort's use of soul splitting to create Horcruxes.

Of course, he wouldn't be foolish enough to use Voldemort's method of creating Horcruxes and splitting his soul, which would make him insane, but he could learn from the soul-related knowledge in it.

In fact, thinking carefully, splitting his soul to create clones in different worlds was somewhat similar to Voldemort's practice of creating Horcruxes.

Each clone in the multiverse was like a Horcrux; as long as one was alive, he couldn't truly die.
