Chapter 224: Major Upgrade of the Superpower Academy

Marvel Universe, Superpower Academy.

"I've finally completed the Plasma Electromagnetic Cannon."

After five continuous days of only getting one hour of sleep each day and experimenting with the effects of the Plasma Electromagnetic Cannon using his Panda Avatar, George finally breathed a long sigh of relief.

"Next, it's about time to upgrade the academy properly."

During this time, he had been thinking about properly upgrading the academy, both technologically and magically.

In terms of magic, his magical abilities had progressed rapidly, and he had learned many new spells. With the addition of the new wand made from the World Tree, the effectiveness of his magic had been significantly improved.

As for technology, with Banner and Betty, two technological geniuses, the academy's old equipment could finally be updated.

It's not that the equipment left by the Beast was inadequate; in fact, many of the academy's devices were revolutionary by today's and even modern standards.

For example, the X-Jet and the combat simulation room that even Tony had described as incredibly advanced.

However, times were still advancing. Some things could actually be replaced with better alternatives for better results.

Just like Howard Stark had already developed a new element, but at the time, the overall technology level couldn't create it. By Tony's era, it was easy to make.

If you have the technology to make computers, being in an ancient era with bronze tools would prevent you from making a computer.

So while Banner and Betty's technological abilities might not match the Beast's, upgrading the academy's overall equipment was definitely possible.

Leaving his room and heading outside, George noticed it was still morning, and the students were attending their regular classes.

During this time, Professor X had discovered several children with special abilities. With George's approval, they had been invited to the academy, and the number of students was slowly increasing.

At the academy's entrance, George waved his hand, removing the Muggle Shielding Spell and the magical barriers.

Having studied magic under Dumbledore, he now had better options.

"Unyielding Loyalty!"

George waved his wand and cast the Unyielding Loyalty Spell on the entire academy.

The Unyielding Loyalty Spell was much stronger than the Muggle Shielding Spell.

The Muggle Shielding Spell only worked to obscure ordinary people, causing them to overlook houses protected by it. It was like a psychological suggestion that made normal people ignore these buildings when they came near.

In S.H.I.E.L.D.'s words, it was like a strange magnetic field interfering with the brain.

For those with magical powers or strong psychic abilities, it didn't have much effect, and it wasn't too difficult to break using technology.

But the Unyielding Loyalty Spell was different. This extremely complex and advanced spell, in George's opinion, had essentially set a rule for magic.

This rule stated that, apart from those authorized, no one, no matter what methods they used, could detect buildings protected by this spell, even using magic detection or advanced technology.

The world has countless rules, and the Unyielding Loyalty Spell merely nudged one of them.

"Indelible!"

After casting the Unyielding Loyalty Spell, George began to cast the second spell, the Indelible Spell.

This was another advanced and rule-affecting spell. Its function was to make a target disappear from all maps in the world.

Magical schools like Hogwarts typically used this spell to ensure that Muggles couldn't find them, thus protecting the students' safety.

Once the two high-level spells were cast, George spread his wings and flew into the sky, beginning to set up magical barriers again.

This time, the magical barriers he set up were purely for defense. While the first two spells ensured that enemies couldn't find the academy, it didn't protect the academy if there was indiscriminate large-scale area attacks nearby. The academy would still be within the attack's range.

Once the setup was complete, he flew down to the open ground in front of the academy castle, where rows of giant metal statues stood. There were over a hundred of them, made from the best alloys Tony could provide.

Among them were various mythological creatures from both Eastern and Western cultures, such as dragons, three-headed hellhounds, hydras, nine-tailed foxes, Bai Ze, Kui, phoenixes, kirins, and Taowu.

"Mimetic Transformation!"

George walked up to each of these metal statues, casting the Mimetic Transformation Spell to bring them to life.

With George's mastery of the Mimetic Transformation Spell, normally, it would be impossible to apply it to such large metal structures and imbue them with magical energy.

However, with the new wand he had that amplified his magic by over twenty times, it became easy for him to do this.

Unfortunately, even though the wand's amplification effect was impressive, it had its limits. It couldn't provide infinite enhancement. The maximum was around twenty times.

Otherwise, given that the wand was made from the World Tree and the Frost Giant King's heart nerve, it should have had an even greater enhancement effect than the wands from Fairy Tail, but in reality, the difference wasn't significant.

The reason for this was that the magic level in the Harry Potter world was just that high, and the wand technology could only reach a certain level. Even the best materials couldn't compensate for the technical gap.

Using the best materials to make a fan wouldn't make it as effective as an air conditioner in terms of cooling.

As his magical powers grew, the amplification effect of the wand would also decrease.

It was impossible for him to have surpassed the level of a Sky father God and be able to destroy a planet with a single spell, and still have the wand amplify his magic by twenty times. That would far exceed the wand's limit.

So, unless there was a new technology to enhance wands, eventually, wands would be obsolete. The benefit of this was that he wouldn't need to rely on the wand's limitations anymore.

Even if new avatars were created without wands, they could still unleash their full strength.

The strength of all his avatars in different worlds would be equal.

At the moment, because of the wand, his Marvel Universe avatar was the strongest, followed by the Fairy Tail avatar. The Harry Potter and Magic Apprentice worlds were similar, and the new Misaka avatar from another world was the weakest due to the lack of a wand.

"George, this magic is quite interesting. It's even more fascinating than the magic from our divine realm."

Just as George finished casting the Mimetic Transformation Spell and was about to scatter the metal statues around the school to hide, he heard a familiar voice behind him.

It was Thor, the God of Thunder, holding a copy of "The Song of War" in his hands.

He had been staying with George at the academy for some time. Every day, he either attended Professor X's political science class, listened to Steve talk about his experiences, or read some classic world literature and watched war-themed movies, following the suggestions of others.

"Thor, how are you feeling lately? Have you tried picking up the hammer?"

George smiled and asked while waving his hand to control the metal statues to scatter.

Thor nodded immediately.

"I've made great progress. I can now understand why Father doesn't want to wage war anymore.

This morning, I tried again, and the hammer has started to move. If things go as expected, I should be able to lift Mjolnir in the next few days and regain all my power."
