[Marvel's Magic Master] Chapter 272: Dragon Crystal Fusion Plan

In the past, George would never have easily shared the magic he learned from other worlds. He worried that if he passed it on, his enemies might eventually learn it and use it against him—essentially, he'd be handing them a weapon to attack him with.

But now, his strength had grown significantly. As long as it wasn't his core magic, he no longer saw a risk in sharing some of it.

Especially spells like the Mirror World, which had no offensive power. Even if an enemy managed to learn and cast it, he would detect it instantly.

In Middle-earth, he had founded the Middle-earth Hogwarts Academy specifically to teach Light Magic and Giant Magic to the elves.

Both of these were positive forms of magic that wouldn't provoke the gods' displeasure.

If he had chosen to teach the elves and humans something like the Killing Curse, even if they defeated Morgoth, the gods wouldn't look kindly upon him.

Similarly, in the Fairy Tail world, he had compiled some magic from Harry Potter into books and placed them in the Fairy Tail Guild's library.

One of the most important spells he included was the Repairing Charm, which the guild needed the most.

However, due to differences between the two worlds' magical systems, the spell was difficult to understand and learn without a foundational knowledge of Harry Potter magic. To make it more accessible, George modified the Repairing Charm to better fit Fairy Tail's system.

Of course, it was still more difficult to learn than native Fairy Tail magic.

Originally, it required incantations and a wand to cast, but in this world, it had to be adapted to work through magic circles. This naturally led to many differences in principle.

But with enough effort, it was still possible to master.

However, to this day, not a single person had tried learning his Repairing Charm.

Almost every Fairy Tail mage believed that their own magic was the best and most suited for them, no matter how good someone else's magic might be.

They were fully dedicated to mastering their own spells.

If the Repairing Charm could be learned in just a few days, they might have considered it.

But since it would take months—possibly even a year or more for those with lower magic proficiency—and wouldn't yield perfect results at first, they naturally weren't interested.

Even Makarov, the guild master who valued the Repairing Charm the most, didn't bother to learn it. His reasoning?

"As long as we have George, the master of repairs, there's no need."

And if George wasn't around in the future, surely one of his disciples would inherit the title of Repair Mage.

The Deal

"Alright, we agree to the terms!"

Without hesitation, the Weasley twins handed the Marauder's Map to George.

For them, it wasn't a big loss—they had already memorized all of Hogwarts' secret passages. At most, the map only helped them avoid Filch's patrols.

But if they learned George's spell, they could enter the Mirror World and completely evade Filch. The effect was the same.

More importantly, the Marauder's Map only worked within Hogwarts, whereas the Mirror World could be used anywhere, making their pranks even more effective.

It was obvious that this trade was well worth it.

"Excellent."

George pocketed the map and said to the twins:

"I'll prepare a magic book for you tomorrow. If you have any questions, feel free to ask me."

The magical systems of Harry Potter and Fairy Tail were vastly different. Without proper adjustments, it was difficult for mages from either world to learn spells from the other.

After all, Fairy Tail's world was purely fantastical, with its own written language distinct from that of the Harry Potter world.

However, the magic from The Magician's Apprentice world closely resembled Harry Potter magic. Both worlds had a wizard named Merlin, and both relied on wands or rings as magical conduits.

Because their principles were so similar, only minor modifications were needed to make their spells interchangeable.

Research and a Favor

After returning to the Slytherin dormitory, George went to bed.

Over the next few days, he alternated between learning how to create Portkeys from Dumbledore, teaching the Weasley twins Mirror Magic, and researching the Marauder's Map.

On October 16th, at Hagrid's Hut…

"George, thanks for your help last time. Without you, Buckbeak would've been in serious trouble!"

Hagrid placed a freshly baked rock cake in front of George, his tone filled with gratitude.

George picked up the stone-hard cake, took a few bites, and replied:

"It was Malfoy's fault to begin with. It was nothing."

At the start of their third year, during their first Care of Magical Creatures class, Malfoy had offended Buckbeak and gotten scratched on the arm. Furious, he threatened to have his father get Hagrid fired and have Buckbeak executed.

Thanks to George's influence, Malfoy was no longer openly hostile toward Harry and his friends. But as a pampered pureblood heir from a prestigious wizarding family, his spoiled nature remained.

Since there was no other option, Hagrid and the trio turned to George, hoping he could mediate.

For George, it was hardly a problem.

Hagrid was his friend, and he had frequently cared for Buckbeak while studying magical creatures the previous year.

So, he had spoken with Malfoy and persuaded him to drop the issue instead of reporting it to his father.

"Lucius Malfoy has strong ties within the Ministry of Magic. If he truly wanted Buckbeak executed, not even Dumbledore could stop it. After all, Buckbeak did injure Malfoy."

Hagrid sighed and grabbed another rock cake, speaking between bites.

"It's my fault. I shouldn't have used Buckbeak for the lesson. I just wanted to make a good impression on the kids for their first class."

George listened to Hagrid's regrets, then got to the real reason for his visit.

"Hagrid, I know you're fond of dragons. Do you know where fire dragons are currently located?"

"Oh, you bet I do! You know, I once raised a dragon myself—I did loads of research and wrote to plenty of friends about it."

Hagrid's eyes lit up with excitement at the mention of dragons.

"The Australian Opaleye is mostly found in New Zealand, though some have migrated to Australia.

The Common Welsh Green and Hebridean Black Dragons can be found right here in Britain.

Hungarian Horntails are native to Hungary, but most of them are now in Romania…"

Hagrid enthusiastically listed all ten known fire dragon species in the wizarding world, providing detailed information.

George listened intently, taking mental notes.

Over the next few weekends, he planned to travel the world, hunting and capturing dragons.

Then, he would refine their essence into Dragon Crystals and implant them into his body.

This was the foundation of his Dragon Crystal Fusion Plan.
