Externally complete and functional
Added 2017-11-25 16:55:11 +0000 UTCR2 version two is fully assembled, working and actually delighted!! Couple of minor improvements, the 12v motors work but a a tiny bit underpowered. I suspect my battery isn’t great and I’m going to look at the drives to see if the ratio can be tweaked to add some torque. 24v motors are the same fittings so could update the electronics however he rolls, turns and works so more than happy for now. Electronic mounts still need refining, I’ve got an electronic board inside and the battery but it’s just taped in at the moment. Palawan 360 with added code to drive the extra arms etc works a treat. Dan who wrote it is a true genius!! Next major bits are the 2-3-2 mechanism. That’s a bit piece of work so don’t promise any early Christmas pressies. I think (on suggestion) I’ll add the drinks holder before Christmas though, may add some festive fun for those with fast printers. Can’t believe it’s nearly December!! is there a posting anywhere that shows exactly how the 3d printed legs go together?
