Lots of designing recently and not a lot of new models. I’m working on the new MKIII body at the moment. Originally started as taking the printed design and linking together to create three rings. As I got into the details I quickly realized this was a bad idea. There is loads of overhangs, way too much plastic and there’s a few things I wanted to fix. So I’m a good way through a new MKIII body design. This will be compatible with the legs and dome designs from the current version so many parts will swap over. Features so far, easy hinges for all the doors, no fiddly gluing. All greebles easy fit and much more room inside. Redesigned speaker / vent fixing. All details use 70degree overhangs like the new domes. The hole thing is designed to print upright, split into three rings and no support needed. A huge amount of plastic has been taken out so much less filament will be needed. All greebles simplified to minimal parts. I’ve still got a lot of work to do, but I suspect this will change the body printed approach if it works out as I plan, really excited about this one!!!
