Smaugust - Day 2 "Rock"

I'm doing it. I'm finally attempting another "art theme" challenge month after a long time of not having time. I've been wanting to do Smaugust (the entirety of the month of August is dedicated to a dragon-themed drawing every day) for ages now. Every time I remembered it, it was like... the 12th or the 20th or something. Not THIS year. XD

I'm using this prompt list from DA for the theme for each day. There's a few lists out there, but this one I liked the best.

Smaugust Day #2: Rock

This one is just done with pencil and paper. I don't know how convincing the shading is (I didn't have my good pencils handy), so sorry about that. ^^;

I was inspired by our Patreon Pride member WyvernTitan. After several inspiring chats on the discord, I was struck with the idea to have a rock dragon hatching out of a geode. Some people call them thunder eggs, right? (Also I think the book Dragon in the Sock Drawer had a similar idea...) Anyways, enjoy!

I don't know how far into the month I'll get, but here's hoping I can do at least a few pieces in! Wish me luck! I'll be posting every piece I do here on Patreon first - and I'll be posting them to DA a few days later.
