April Updates

If you hadn't heard the news yet - I'm working with Ken & Roberta Williams on Colossal Cave 3D Adventure for the next few months! It was a really humbling and awesome experience to get a phone call from Ken, inviting me onto the team.  It's been fun working with him, Roberta and the whole team they have assembled there.  Really, I have to reign in my excitement.  I'm literally doing what I wanted to do when I was 12 years old!  There will be more info about that coming in the future, and I'll share all I can! They're excited about the game, and we all want to get word out and hype up about it.

I can say that Colossal Cave is one of Roberta's favorite games; she loves it.  She's following the original design closely; I've been studying the original source code for the game extensively myself, and having played it a bunch in my youth, it is cool to see the areas described in the text adventure come to life in 3D!  This was the game that Roberta played on machines Ken brought home from work, and what inspired her to sit down at the proverbial kitchen table and create "Mystery House", which kicked off Sierra On-Line! In a way, it's like when Shawn and I decided to remake a game we loved... King's Quest III, that set us off on this path!

I am still working on IQ projects in the evening, and am working to get RtR out soon.  Still finishing up the voice work on that and testing it - Infamous Quests will have a table at RetroGameConJr. in Syracuse NY on May 7th 2022 from 9:30 AM - 5 PM! If you're local, stop on by, say Hi, get some swag from me. Museum of Science & Technology in Armory Square!  https://www.facebook.com/events/702685697807221

I'll be doing another shipment of boxes for IQ swag on May 14th, so we'll begin the final swing on that one. Phew. It's been too long, and again, I want to stress that I am not a fulfillment company and in the future will outsource this job FOR SURE.  I will stick to making games, and leave product and shipping logistics to experts!

Thanks again, as always, to everyone for the support.  The next few months should be exciting! Look for some surprises along the way....

One thing is certain: your life hasn’t been boring. And this is definitely one of the best ways for it to be exciting (in a very positive way).
