Added 2024-11-27 05:00:10 +0000 UTCI interrupt the current chain of career-based age progression pics to draw this thing my cat did. I can’t think of much else. She’s been vomiting a lot and eating little to nothing. We took her to the vet, and by all other accounts she’s perfectly healthy. Blood work is fine, heart’s fine, kidneys are fine, even her weight is normal. No parasites in her stool, no cancer. She just won’t eat. It’s worrisome to say the least. They gave her a laxative to help remove any possible blockage and an appetite stimulant.
Anyway, when we brought her home, she just sat on the dresser staring. For hours.
November 2024 has been straight ass.
UPDATE: took her to the ER so they can do an ultrasound to find out what’s in her intestines because it’s not food! She’s still feisty despite not eating. The vet needed to break out the falconer gloves just to take her vitals.
2ND UPDATE: The inner workings of Ramona are a medical mystery, as the tests continue to find nothing. They gave her anti-nausea meds as well as injecting some fluids. The good news is that she’s started eating again! It’s possible she ate something bad, and that maybe the worst is behind us. We’ll be watching her carefully, but at least I’m starting Thanksgiving with a little relief.
