Devlog 0.2

"Episode 2: Making Friends"


First of all, good morning! Let's write this thing.

There's more story development in Ep.2 (in free-roam format), right after the sex scene. Then, another optional sex scene (which is also the first choice you can make - it's not with Suzie though), and then more story development. That's where content currently is.

I want to establish even more story here so I've got a good base, and of course I'm sprinkling more sex/teasing atop. And that'll wrap up the episode.
The following are different aspects of the game that I'm working on right now, and what their state is currently.

Free-roam system

There's a useable free-roam system that I made from scratch.

This will be used intermittently throughout the game as it fits the story. You'll be able to explore a bit, and find hidden renders here and there. You'll be able to roam around the house, and town. This is currently quite limited, because development time.

Below is a preview of one of the early map versions I made for town free-roam.
Even though I spent quite a bit of time on this as I like neat maps, the game will not be centered around walking around and looking for stuff to do!
The current version of the map is now larger and has more locations, which expands future potential.


Player Choice

I'm introducing player choice into the story, but I don't want to get lost in endless routes so this will be done sparingly.

It is my first full-blown game after all.

I know with choice, there inevitably must be different endings, even if the paths there aren't all that different. If I'm lucky, and the gods smile on me, I'll be able to get away with no more than 3 different endings.

Sound & Music

I continue to try and find good sound effects, and music for the game, there's now many more in Episode 2.

I admit, I'm having a bit of trouble finding proper volume settings for all the sounds and music, trying to mix them. If you've felt like sounds were sometimes jarring, too loud, or didn't fit, don't hesitate to let me know.

Sound design really makes an experience much better, so it's important. 


Phone

I'm adapting Nighten's phone texting system.

As of now, the phone is not interactable, and only serves to show conversations between characters. I will work on it and introduce advanced features in later releases, as I implement them.

Gallery

Nothing crazy here, just a run-of-the-mill image gallery where you'll be able to view hidden renders you find in free-roam, once you unlock it. Patrons will get an unlock code to insta-unlock everything if they wish.

Release date for v0.2

Ep.2 should (presumably) be finished in two week's time. So end of Aug/start of Sept.
I still need to iron out free-roam bugs, make free-roam renders, work on the gallery, and there's a bit of content still left to be made to wrap up v0.2.

Yeah, I think that's it for the 0.2 log.
If I forgot anything I'll add it. I might have, because I just woke up.
