I got into Daz mainly just as a form of RPG escapism. I used to play a lot of Skyrim and live out my own little adventures, I would write them down and invent my own narratives. Time after time I would have to reinstall it as mods failed or my PC gave out.
I then decided to pick up virtual photography, a very short lived hobby and through that I found Daz. The whole concept was kind of baffling at first and I didn't really understand it. But with a $50 Daz voucher and a desire to create Lewis threw me into it.
I attempted to make characters and enjoyed it. Alannah was the first and through her I was inspired to have my virtual self made so I could live on in fiction. iSourcetextures aka Martin, not only made a version of me on commission from photo reference, but also taught me how to export models, with this and Lewis' design knowledge we made Aslog and released her on Renderosity.
She took 6 months to make...
But as time has gone on me and Lewis have learnt and taught each other more and more.
Yesterday as a birthday treat to me, Lewis and me sat down for most of the day and made Ashaide G9, she isn't perfect but we finally made our first G9 model.
Her skin minus my scars will be used for Alannah and she should be ready next week. Soon after Aslog will follow.
Of course Ashaide will not be available to anyone other than myself (as that would be weird and uncomfortable) but she is a milestone of success and more of her kind will come in the very near future.
