I can’t. It’s not even the reader (kinda meh, if I have to be honest) or the new italian translation (people here in italy went crazy when Samvise changed into Samplicio). I simply can’t enjoy that kind of writing. I tried multiple times reading the books and finished them only once (with great pain), I never got through The Silmaril or many others I bought.
My productivity plummeted, so I switched to "The southern book club guide to slaying vampires" and, despite the reading is kinda meh, I’m enjoying it so much! And i’m focusing 100% on drawing!
So here’s how i had the idea to make a full fantasy poll.

LotR is such a weird series. I love it, but I hated it while I was reading it. And Tolkien never stopped talking about things that didn't really matter.
