Tuesday Showcase #12: Chapter 28, Real Life, version 0.13 & Polling Season

Hello everyone, and welcome to another Tuesday Showcase.

As you can probably guess from this update's title, I have a lot of things to talk about today, on top of the content preview. So let's get going!

Chapter 28

Chapter 28 will be the second half of version 0.12, and the second Chapter of Act X.

On a Friday, Laura tells you that Joanna is finally available the next day for a photoshoot. With Nathan, she goes to her studio to model for some "artsy" pictures.

Of course, that means you're now all alone, and so bored, on a Saturday afternoon. Until you get a text from your local blondie, more than happy to start teasing you again...

Real Life

You may have heard about it, as I've said it in a few places, but thanks to your support, I was able to recently resign from my day job. It had grown quite hellish over the last two months, and I probably would have looked for alternatives if I didn't have the game.

So, first, I want to thank all my supporters for this opportunity. What you've brought here is literally life-changing. I'll be able to move to finally join my girlfriend, after living 3 hours away from each other for 3 years.

The other side of the coin, though, is that I'm working quite a lot leading to my last day, on november 1st, for various reasons. This means that between my work, preparing my move, and the game, there's not enough hours in the day.

So I had to make a few choices, trying to sacrifice the least amount of things. For version 0.12, it means I'll have to postpone Chapter 26 rework until the following version. Version 0.12 will have to big chapters though, and I'll add a note in Chapter 26 mentioning that it will change.

Version 0.13

Version 0.13 will release after I leave work, but I'm not making promises about the content I'll be able to have in it, just to be safe. My current goal is to have Chapter 29 (the last one of Act X), Chapter 26 rework, and the addition of the Very Dominant route, starting from Chapter 21 (the same one as Very Submissive).

Because the Very Dominant route requires having a lot more control, and more optional content too, I should add it as soon as I can. But it also means I'll have to do some work on Chapters 21 to 27.

I want to stress the fact that all these are not me trying to discreetly tell you "I'll work less from now one". These two updates should be the only affected ones, and after that, everything should be back in place.

I also want to say, though, that my new situation may not result in an increase in the amount of content. The reason for that is that the limiting factor in the amount of content I can write is as much time as it is inspiration. And when I try to force me to write more, well... I write pure dogshit. And I'm pretty sure you don't want that.

On the other hand, it may give me more time to fix issues and, more importantly, to experiment with a few things. I have a few ideas in mind that could please you.

Rest assured, in any case, that Netorase Phone will absolutely not be abandoned. Quite the opposite, in fact: because it will be my new source of income, I now have more reasons than ever to do the best I can. 😉

Polling Season

And doing the best I can also include asking for your opinions. Over the last few weeks, I've received a lot of feedback on various parts of the game. But because feedback is often hard to process, I'm having a hard time making sure what opinion may represent a majority. Thankfully, that's why we got polls!

Over the next few weeks, until version 0.13 release, I'm going to open quite a lot of polls to ask your opinion on a few topics, such as the pace of the game, the number of bulls, the amount of specific content, your opinion on some potential new content, etc...

These polls will allow me to get a nice, clean start from version 0.14, taking as much as I can from what you want. You can probably expect something like 2 polls a week, so be prepared to get spammed with notifications!
