“Hey it’s so nice to meet you thanks for taking the time to come in, please take a seat. I was very impressed with your resume there are just a few things I wanted to ask you before we proceeded. From what you’re grades have shown me I can see that you’re a very bright young lady. You aced pretty much everything in your college exams; to be honest I’m pretty surprised you want to settle as a teacher’s assistant and not a teacher. You haven’t had much luck applying for teaching positions? Do you know what the reason for that might be? Because I believe I have some idea. You’re first approach was very timid even on the phone you sounded very nervous, like a young school girl. It’s ok to be nervous but to be a teacher you have to me mature and responsible. We’re shaping future generations here, not to mention if you aren’t strict enough they will just walk all over you.
Awwww, I didn’t mean to upset you. See this is what I was talking about you’re too sensitive. I have a feeling you might not be suited to this kind of job. This is what you’ve always wanted to do? I suppose you did spend the last several years of your life getting the proper qualifications. But I’ll tell you now know book smarts will only get you so far, the practical side is very different. You’re a very sweet girl and I do believe you have a good future ahead of you. How about we give it a trial run you can have the job as my assistant for the next fortnight, if you can handle that I will take you on permanently. Who knows if you do a good job when a permanent position opens up maybe you will be ready to apply for that, I guess we will have to wait and see.”
