Update on my old boss
Added 2023-04-05 02:23:03 +0000 UTCSo I don't know if you guys recall this post I made last year about the murder of my ex boss or not. I mention above that he was a terrible person, but what I had been telling people ever since, is that I didn't buy that he was innocent for a second, due to my time working for him. Truly disturbing, the behavior that I witnessed at the time. Well, today the real story finally came out. It was what I suspected all along. The whole thing escalated over a fender bender late at night. But it turns out HE was the one who loaded his gun and blatantly open-fired on the others involved in the accident (surveillance evidence and 911 calls caught everything). And he was then gunned down by one of the others out of self-defense. Also, he was drunk and had other drugs in his system while driving home. But yeah...I'm so glad the real story came out. It is satisfying. The media, as well as his family and friends, tried to make him look like a hero to his community, and a kind and generous person, with tons of fundraising and events celebrating his life, but I knew the truth, and was pretty disgusted by this whole narrative. In particular the treatment of the actual victims. Obviously I wasn't there during the murder but, I told people this homicide was likely due to creating enemies we don't know about, or he blew a fuse, got violent and it caused him to lose his life randomly, which was bound to happen sooner or later the way he was going. I saw no reality in which any he was the victim of anything.

I am more concerned about those who did get hurt, or wrongly accused. His partner was quoted as saying he was her hero. Um...she assisted him at the bar, and she trained me. I spent a lot of time with her. She was terrified of him, and he yelled at her possibly more than anyone. And that was at work. who knows what it was like behind closed doors.

That is what the media almost never covers. The aftermath. And the legal system as it is, is so sketchy, and makes things so hard in terms of consequence. I have very passionate opinions about the legal system and how badly I wish it could be changed for the better.

All the more so when that narrative gets turned against you. I hope those people who were vilified that were just trying to defend themselves are able to move past this and get on with their lives.

Now that he is innocent...you still have insane legal fees to pay, that he likely does not have, when you kill someone in self-defense. These are the things that the news never covers, and I am quite passionate about the holes in our legal system. So this kind of thing really makes me sad.

This person is also a piece of shit, and he is one of the people who has been twisting the narrative, and is STILL doing so on the go fund me page, even though the truth has come out. But that's how I initially discovered that he was murdered the first time. But that's not how I found out today. It was a fairly big local news story where I am at the time, due to his popularity in the community as a club/bar owner. So I just found out through a random friend who sent me the news link. He knew my version of the story and wanted to show me immediately.

I would try and convince other employees who he was abusive towards, to quit...but for whatever reason they wouldn't. He was mean to everyone but me, I think in part because...I wasn't scared of him. That tends to help in life, I find. Just don't be intimidated, work hard, and don't complain. You'd be amazed at how much people can read that in situations such as that.
